yes i would listen to this book again.it had an interesting twist. I would like to share the book with others.
Interesting plot twists- I can not really say without spoiling the book for others, but the ending was unexpected.
I am not sure what book I would compare this story to, but the books that audible compared or suggested were part of the series do NOT appear to be accurate to me.
I do believe that audible states that the books in this series are The Preacher's Son and The First Lady. I do NOT see how those to books fit in with this story AT ALL and I dispute that, please find an alternate source for the order of this series as those two books have a different theme/storyline.
Back to this book: It CAN stand alone just fine. While the reader does get the sense that there was a backstory to a few of the characters, it is not required for understanding the storyline.
I do believe that Ezra is an AMAZING reader and have decided to listen to other books that he has done simply because I find his voice so amazing. This is my second recording that he performed and I am impressed.
No, not really- anyone with a normal life will have a hard time relating to ANY of these characters' actions. For example (from chapter one-), if your best friend helped to break up your marriage by 'framing' your spouse to make it look as if he or she was cheating, it is doubtful that neither you or your spouse would remain friends with this person or think of this person in a fond way. It simply defies common sense. Since this person (the framer) is a central figure in this story, it makes the entire book kinda silly since the premise is so far fetched....but after you suspend your sense and get over that, the book is a very fun ride. I think that you will enjoy it, if you are already a fan of Mr. Weber.
Definitely a great listen and a great way to spend a credit and an afternoon.
things like this is true, and they happen, but in the end what is done in the dark always come to the light. She tried! He didn't. best thing about this book the truth came to light with a happy ending.
The second lover.
Life!!!! with feeling.
When she found out about her best friend and husband
Lets bring this story on home with Mike and Lorane having a baby, and her friend too
Carl Weber is wonderful. He is a brilliant author. He did not disappoint me. Once again he had me on the edge of my seat
I get so excited sometimes about writing a review..good or bad...that why sometimes I misspell words..lol..
I'm a huge fan of Carl weber and although I didnt care for The Choir Director..I LOVED this read! this book remind me of way I became a fan. The ending was a HUGE suprise! If youare a fan of Carl Weber you will enjoy the twist and turns.
Friend betrayal! Male & Female....You cant bring NOBODY home/in your private life and feel safe.
Other books that may compare is My husband's girlfriend, Crush, My sister's ex ext. because they have betrayal in it-drama filled : )
suspense/he kept me on my toes
my mouth was open
I loved it and cant wait to read his next book
A good read. Kept my interest and showed how twisted and entagled ones mind can be regarding love. I did think however the voice of michael was too "peachy" and probably more fit for Jerome. lol
The many stories lines carried on from Big Girls do Cry.
When I found out who big poppa was.
Loved the charcters and how they were brought to life.
Drama, drama & more drama!
