I would recommend it. I read the unfavorable reviews...after I "read" it but I was surprised. My 1st. Patterson "read" &...I Liked it.
Not on the edge of my seat but close.
Of course an audio infliction brings the story alve.
Mayb 2 or 3.
I haven't read the print version. We had 4 adults going on a road trip and needed to have something that we could all enjoy.
There seemed to be a lot going on so that kept us all very interested.
It was very easy to distinguish between the individual characters. Which made it easier to follow what was going on.
No, I knew we would be listening to it in two sittings. It timed out pretty much perfectly.
It has been a long time since I listened to an audio book. The convenience of being able to download it to my iphone was a huge advantage from the old way of having either a cassette or a cd.
The different characters' voices.
The plot did keep me on the edge of my seat with the way the characters read the story.
The story of how the antagonist became evil.
A business professional with a voracious reading habit. My favorites are crime dramas and sci-fi/fantasy, but the occasional romance or history read is great too.
The story moves well through the investigation but it is a typical Cross novel. Not to say that is a bad thing, it has twists and turns mking you think. Well worth the time.
The narrators' inflection and tempo move the story along well. Some parts make you wonder but all in all good job.
Open in Blackberry Storm 2 without frustration. Very disappointed.
Story is not the problem. Had to resort to my PC to listen. The point was not needing the PC for my listening.
FIX BLACKBERRY STORM 2
Riveting, fast-paced, Great
Love the Alex Cross storys, feel like I know him and his family and friends like my own
all of them
Another sleeze bag bites the dust!
Yes, its a good listen. The story line is interesting and contemporary. The charachters are reasonably well developed. Multiple sub-plots are kept alive and viable. Overall, a good book..
Development of the terrorism aspects seemed more interesting than the kidnapping line and the Cross family dynamics. The least interesting was the interaction between Cross and his spouse.
The development of very believable characters.
Yes, and I managed to do so thru a lengthy drive. It was relatively short when compared to other unabridged works of fiction by Patterson and his contemporaries.
I would recommend it to a friend. I've read other books by James Patterson, so I wasn't surprized that I loved this one as my first audiobook.
I listened to it while on a car trip and it made the time fly by.
Loved the two very different ongoing stories - kept me on the edge of my chair
For me, I had to listen to it to get my Alex Cross fix so it was worth it.
It is hard to say what I would change, I think it is more the difficulty in keeping things fresh with this long of a series.
Get inflection for both and Mr. Braugher got me to forget a little bit of Morgan Freeman's voice.
