It is so important and helpful to understand the Biblical meaning and reason of Marriage
I have listened to this book 2 times now as it so clearly captures the essence of marriage and debunks the myths too. If I had to choose one book on the topic of marriage, this would be it. I will be giving a copy to each of my kids once they get to that stage in their lives.
It is just a great book. Keller hits the nail on the head in a very real way.
Real Marriage by Driscoll
I don't know that it is better, but certainly not worse.
This book is full of insight into human relationships. Even though it emphasizes marriage, it give practical and helpful perspectives on how to have successful relationships in all categories. I certainly recommend this book to anyone in a dating or marriage relationship. We can all stand to be more loving and selfless - and this book gives us hope for even the most challenging of relationship situations.
Recovering from a life of performing for God Learning to rest in the finished work of Jesus Excited to see that work itself out...
For a nice comprehensive overview of a Christian marriage this is the best!!! I loved it and learned a ton! Listen to it often!
Very informational, but based mostly off of scriptures.
My most important connection is to God... then my spouse.
I just liked that Keller, from the beginning was not ashamed about the Christian nature of the book. After that, he continued to make me think on so many levels. It reached parts of my brain that I had kind of closed off due to bad experiences. This is a must read, if you're single or married!
Lots of good advice on marriages and relationships in general. Clear signposts for both believers and non-believers as to how to have a successful relationship - so contrary to Hollywood's versions....the way to have a TRUE happy ending!
Pastor Jason Crandall
I great book. It helped me understand some of the deeper intricacies of marriage. I am thankful for Dr. Keller's ministry. His wife KAthy's chapter was also quite good.
Dr. Keller narrates a couple of other audio books I have of his. I was hoping he would have done this one too. The narrators do a fine job, but when you are expecting one voice and you hear another it's a little odd.
Whether you are engaged, newly married or in a marriage that has stood the test of time, this is a tremendous read. It should be mandatory reading for any couple in marriage counseling.
