The story was enjoyable. I liked that it went straight into the relationship. I want to read more from this series but I'm going to have to wait a while to get over the aweful narration.
Add some personality into it.
I have listened to about 3 minutes (even though it feels longer) of this story and I had to look at the speed I was listening to a number of times to make sure I didn't have it on too fast. Wow - talk about a speed reader with no expression or fluency.
I have enjoyed all the books I have read from Audible - but this one is really not the best by a long shot.
I tried to pick up the storyline but found that difficult. After listening to Shannon's Scheme this is a real let down I am sorry to say. Oh well back to the books and find one that I can continue enjoying.
This seems like a pale version of the changeling series written by Nalini Singh, both the story and the narrators. I only listened to the first book in this series, and sampled the rest, but just not interested.
The hero and heroine are so well 'drawn' that I could easily visualize them, and the other characters in Shifter Town were fascinating!
The hero was very attractive in both his personality and his description.
Her voice was very unobtrusive. It was as if I was reading the book myself!
I did actually find myself chuckling during some of the conversations between the hero and heroine. They clashed perfectly!
I definitely recommend this book!
I almost stopped listening to the book as I could not stand the narrator's voice. But main characters were so personable that it nudged me to hang in.
I love this book so much that I have listened and read it four times. Jennifer Ashley writes a superb story. A great series.
Narrator did a wonderful job especially with the Scottish accent. It added a much needed aspect to the story.
The story was good and I enjoyed it and look forward to the others in the series. But the performance was terrible and that is the best thing I can say.
Forget what you know about the shifters of before.... the author has a great story and the twists at the end are brilliant. Even if you think you know how it is going to end you can't predict how they get there. LOVED IT.
When the collar came off and he jumped.
No favorite but the narrator could have been more masculine with the male lead
