It was not just a romance story.
It was funny as well as intriquing.
I enjoyed his expressions and different voices he used.
No I listen in the car on comutes back and forth to work.
I have questions about ordering the book so I can read it and also the narrative version so I can listen also.
Love family friendship
Compared this to the other books in the series
When DA jumps out the window.
I love audio versions to help pass time doing housework, and driving.
Lizzy. She gives a great challenge to the other characters. And, she give the B&B a great feature.
I always want to listen to Nora Roberts book in one sitting.
Filled the time spent driving.
Predictable, no suspense. First book of N Roberts I've listened to, may be the last.
Gave a face to the characters.
If you have been a Nora Roberts reader for a long time, you should really read or listen to this trilogy. It has everything you would expect from Ms Roberts. I found the discussions between the brothers to be my favorite part of the books. I can't tell you how many times I laughed out loud while listening to this series. I have been reading Nora Roberts books for a long time but I found this set to be extra refreshing. I have to make some long commutes between states every other weekend and I listen to audible books instead of music. I almost look forward to these long drives just so I can continue listening to this series. Thank you Ms Roberts for making my travel time much more enjoyable!! Also, I love the voices MacLeod Andrews uses for all the characters.
How the three brothers interact between each other. Reminds me of how my siblings speak with each other. Very easy to relate to.
I have enjoyed his presentation for each character.
I love witty, fast-paced books that keep you turning the page.
As noted in other reviews, the narrator nearly ruins this book with his incredibly plodding performance. His child voices are painful to listen to, and his adult voices difficult to distinguish. If I hadn't already downloaded all three books, I would have returned this one and just read them on my Kindle. Fortunately, another review suggested listening to it in 1 1/2 speed. Thank you! At this speed, it sounded like a normal audiobook so I was able to block out the poor voices and enjoy the story. I was trained in architecture, so I enjoyed the detailed descriptions of the Inn and its renovation. As in most of NR's books, it was easy to like the characters and chuckle at their idiosyncrasies. The love story was nicely woven into the backdrop, and was very believable since Claire and Becket had known each other for decades. Overall a very pleasant book that left a smile on my face and had me looking forward to the next in the series.
Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
I have never read the print version.
The ghostly writing....
I have not listened to a narrator that I did not like or grow to like as the story progressed.
I am anxious to listen to the 2nd and 3rd books of the trilogy.
Characters worked together well.
He changed his voice to imitate the characters very well!
The ending made me cry. They made a very good couple.
Good story. I really enjoyed it.
H.E.L.L. no! The way he voiced the children was CREEPY!!
PLEASE get rid of this narrator. He is not suited for romances. Maybe a mystery novel with no child characters would be more appropriate for him.
These reviews are done by his wife :)
Story was ok
Not as good as other Nora books
He does a TERRIBLE voice for women and kids
story makes it worth it
Don't keep this narrator for romance!
