IMHO.....The narrators for this David Baldacci novel are GREAT!! ....I LIKE "Ron McLarty & Orlagh Cassidy" Wayyyyyyyyyy Better than "Scott Brick"!!!.... I Can't Listen to Scott Brick...Don't care for his reading at all!!!!
Great Read!! I REALLY Enjoyed the Story! David has an Awesome way of telling a Story that holds your interest thru out the WHOLE book!! Oh yes and I Just Love "Puller" he knows his Business he Doesn't Take any Crap from anyone!
I took some time before purchasing this book based on the comments comparing John Puller negatively to Jack Reacher. I disagree with those reviewers. I am a big Reacher fan but feel Puller is his own man. The story line was compelling and I liked both Puller and Cole. I hope to see some more of him.
Having a male and female voice for the two main characters really helps. Obviously the male does all the male characters and ....
I really hated the narration--Ron McLarty by himself is wonderful--with Orlagh Cassidy it is so hard to listen to that it gives me a headache--the flow of the story is totally lost!!! Who could judge how good the story is or not when the narration is so distracting--Get rid of Orlagh, please--
I totally hated the whole performance!!
I ordered the new book "The Innocent" finally after a long time of soul-searching because I hate the two-person narration so bad--and wish I hadn't--not even looking forward to listening to it.
Great at first then slow. I listen to a lot of book about 4 to 5 a month.
I enjoyed the book. I like the idea of a female and male narrator, as when a man tries to imitate a woman's voice, or vice versa, you have to let your imagination run wild.
But, if they are going to use 2 narrator's, at least the producers should record both of them so that the conversations are seamless. You can obviously tell, they recorded separately, and the producers mixed it to fit the book, which several times made the book feel not so great.
With that being said, the narrator's are good, the story is your typical story line - not a Pulitzer prize winner for sure, but if you like David Baldacci, then you will like this book.
It is worth the credit.
this is one of my the best audio books I have listened too in a long time. The story was great and both narrators did a great jobs with all the characters.
Zero Day kept yo guessing who the bad guy was and exactly what they were up to
I liked both Puller and Cole and they both had great wacky family members that made the story even more entertaining
listening to it all at once would be fun but it was great to have it to listen to on my long commute to and from work and then while on the treadmill. It gave me something to look forward to while fighting never ending traffic.
My first Balducci and enjoyed it. I liked the production of the book with a female narrator for the female parts and also the music.
I have to say that I've thoroughly enjoyed this book. Puller is a crack investigator and is on an unusual case. He is investigating a murder of a military family, lined up on a couch and apparently video-taped. Neighbors are also murdered. This is an investigation, but has a good amount of action.
I think this is my favorite Baldacci book.
