I have the Hardback, Kindle, and Audible Versions of this series
The excitement of how they bring Heath back into the story. That even though he's back they don't discard Stark.
Let's you hear as the writer intended without distorting the names.
I loved the book!
Can't wait until Oct. 2014, the Final Book 12 Redeemed will be on sale!
I was a little disappointed with the last book, but this one totally makes up for it. I can't say anymore or I will give too much away!!
It was worth the wait! The only bad thing is that I have to wait a year for the next book! This book had me crying and biting my nails with anticipation. I loved it! It leaves you hanging and eagerly waiting on the next book in the series.
loved the book and the performance was very believable, kept me on my toes and I didn't want it to end looking forward for the next one
Anyone looking to just read a book in a series that's basically filler.
Don't make everything so repetitive. It's almost copy paste of everything they have done in this series.
She did okay. Nothing special although there were times where she made all the guys sound the exact same.
I liked the fact that Kalona did try and mend things with his son. That was kinda sweet.
The Cast duo must really not remember what they have characters say. In the second book Stevie Rae say her friends should like a bunch of 'r words' and now she goes around saying it's bad. I don't use the word, but why are you gonna have her use it and then have her jumping down people's throats about it? Is it suppose to be she realized it wasn't a good word? Could you have shown us when that happened?
Best book outta the ENTIRE House of Night series... So far :) Can't wait to read the next installment
No, because with human reading there is always going to be some measure of differing in pronunciation and emotion. This reader did a very good job in my opinion. But she does occasionally pronounce things in a strange way, and seems to put the wrong emotional emphasis on some things. Over all though she does a good job. I don't feel that it is fair to judge her harshly based on reading differently than I do.
I like that the authors mixed up the reactions of the main characters, and no longer is Zoey miss goodie two shoes, whining and constantly crying.. they left the story off on a line of making the reader feel they have to read the next book whether or not they even liked the story.
My favorite part about Caitlin Davies' performance is her portrayal of Neferet... I feel like she is spot on with her voice and inflection!
I did tear up a bit when Nicole and Stevie Ray had their talk.
To the people that are complaining about her portrayal of Kramesha, she read it exactly as it is written in the books. If you are going to complain about her making Kramesha sound too "ghetto" perhaps you should read the actual books before you throw a fit. Caitlin read her EXACTLY as she is written...EXACTLY.
I loved this series in the beginning, and then after Neferet was solidly on the side of Darkness, the series dragged on for about 3 books. All of that crushing boredom finally becomes worth it in the last 3 or 4 hours of Destined. I feel like the plot FINALLY feel like the plot got off it's lazy ass and started going again. I was going to quit, but now I feel invested again and will continue on with the series.
Caitlin is no Edwina Wren, but this is MUCH better than jenna or cassandra (books 4-6). Still think there needs to be more difference in the character voices, but at least her voice and inflection is tolerable. She definitely gets bonus points for mostly correct pronunciations, for example sons of erubis and refeim. Getting used to her voice but I still think she sound too young to the parts.
Liked the development of the story line, but was left on a huge cliffy at the end.
