I loved this series in the beginning, and then after Neferet was solidly on the side of Darkness, the series dragged on for about 3 books. All of that crushing boredom finally becomes worth it in the last 3 or 4 hours of Destined. I feel like the plot FINALLY feel like the plot got off it's lazy ass and started going again. I was going to quit, but now I feel invested again and will continue on with the series.
I have the Hardback, Kindle, and Audible Versions of this series
The excitement of how they bring Heath back into the story. That even though he's back they don't discard Stark.
Let's you hear as the writer intended without distorting the names.
I loved the book!
Can't wait until Oct. 2014, the Final Book 12 Redeemed will be on sale!
Yes. Love Stevie Rae's voice!
There were many. And I am not the biggest fan of this series, but this book in particular really kept me interested. When Rafeen's brothers came to talk with him and one was killed was shocking, Dragon's extreme sadness and then his death and reuinting with his mate, Kalona's change of heart.
I have not.
No, but I did like this book better than the 3-4 previous in the same story. This one did not drag along - it stayed interesting and I really appreciated the less "twin" thing. That drove me nuts. I have stuck with the series because I like paranormal romance and I really like the stories aimed at young adults because they are less sexual and violent. I did not read the last book, but was still able to pick up the storyline from the one before.
Caitlin is no Edwina Wren, but this is MUCH better than jenna or cassandra (books 4-6). Still think there needs to be more difference in the character voices, but at least her voice and inflection is tolerable. She definitely gets bonus points for mostly correct pronunciations, for example sons of erubis and refeim. Getting used to her voice but I still think she sound too young to the parts.
Liked the development of the story line, but was left on a huge cliffy at the end.
Yes, the series is great, and I like listening a second time and picking up on things I may have missed the first time.
Any of the other books in the series
Start at book one to get the characters. Enjoyable easy reading with a few fun twists to the storyline. A teen book that makes a good transition to adult. Wasn't too sure about the reader on the first book however, she is very consistent and does each character justice.
The way Zoe and friends grew, the fight for good over evil and the dark force in Neferet.
Zoe and her grandmother
Will read the next book
A better story and a narrator that sounded a bit older
The story line has gotten increasingly worse, nothing happens. The book goes on about one thing and leads up to one event the whole book long.
I loved this series starting out, but its just going on for too long now. The story line is getting increasingly worse and the narrator is terrible.
I love these stories.. My daughter is the one that got me into the House of Night Series, and I love PC Cast and Kristin Cast.. they are awesome author's.
I have read reviews on this series, and some seem to think its too drawn out.. I find it to be a great series. I'm glad they keep pumping out books so there is more for me to listen to. Kinda wish they would write a little faster.. :) I like the Performance of these books a lot.. They are witty, and charming. I know its a teen book, but this 33 year old woman sure likes the snarky teen wit.. As they would say in the book, this series is Awesome covered in Awesome sauce!!! :) P.S. EVEN THOUGH HE WOULD NEVER ADMIT IT, MY HUSBAND EVEN LIKES THIS SERIES!!!!!
Maybe. If they were as good as the first three in this series started. I guess the Casts should have quit while they were ahead.
The next Parasol Protectorate book due out later this month. I can't wait!
Sure I has no problem with her narration.
Definite disappointment. I continue out of hope that the books might improve. I don't know if I will keep on though.
