I'm not a fan of haveing two authors in one book. I really didn't think that Sands did her usual job. Too short, and a bit lack luster.

"Lynsay Sands Is As Always Excellent!"

The Bite Before Christmas is Teddy Brunswick's story. The chief of police from Port Henry, is a lonely man reluctantly looking at retirement. He never dreams that he could be a lifemate to an immortal like his two best friends. Caught in a snowstorm, with no power he meets Katricia Argeneau, an immortal, who realizes that Teddy is her lifemate. Her aunt, Marguerite Argeneau, advised her to go slow with Teddy and not scare him away. It's a case of instant attraction, fun and . . . .

    "Lynsay Sands - no"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If the story written by Lynsay Sands was not part of this recording.

Would you ever listen to anything by Lynsay Sands and Jeaniene Frost again?

I enjoy the creativity of Ms. Frost. I would never listen to Sands again

How could the performance have been better?

    Better story by Sands

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Bite Before Christmas?

Sands wrote a sexual fantasy which was not what was indicated in the preview. The story was flat and had little to keep the interest of the reader. If it had been a book, I would have found few pages worth reading.
I would have cut her whole short story.

What made the experience of listening to The Bite Before Christmas the most enjoyable?

The writing was very funny and made for an enjoyable listen.

Would you recommend The Bite Before Christmas to your friends? Why or why not?

I would reccomend it because Lyndsay Sands is a fabulous writer with a very funny approach to the subject matter.

What aspect of Paula Christensen and Tavia Gilbert ???s performance would you have changed?

The other 2 writers did not grab me nor pull me in to the story. I really did not listen for long.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Lyndsay Sands book was, yes.

Very disapponted in this book. Waited with great anticipation, only to be let down with a short story. I hope Ms Sands is not losing her touch. The Argeneau's have much more life left in them yet and hopefully a better book is yet to come.

The first story by Sands isn't all that great (boring) and it's a little over 3hrs long the second story by Frost was what I really wanted and as an addicted huntress fan it was well worth the 10.00 I paid for it. (You'll need to look at it that way)
