I am a fan of Nicholas Sparks. There were twists and turns I believe I knew the end before I finished listening to it but it was a good storyline anyway. The characters are very alive and you can almost envision the scenes in your mind. I finished it in a couple of days did not want to put it down. The narrator was great!
This wonderful book by renouned author Nickalis Sparks is a story of faith, love, and in the end realizing that you can change, but only if you want to.
This book is a combination Days of our Lives, and Family Feud. I don't know how I got it as I was looking in Mysteries and Thrillers. This is no page turner, and is very touchy feely. The ending is very hokey and I knew the ending long before it came. That said it is not a bad book, and is easy listening for an unrequited love story. There is some action, the family feud part, and a hint of ghosts, but not scary ones. Not my type of book, but if you like soaps, go for it.
The story was excellent and held my attention to the very end. I would have liked a happier ending, it is a very good read, and worth the money.
I liked the story but the thing that i can not get out of my mind is that i heard it somewhere. don't know if i dreamed it or it was in a movie but i know how it would end after the first few chapters. I could call out what was going to happen in the next few chapters before it even gave a hint to it. I think that is strange but over all I loved the book.
Once I started listening to this I could not stop...Once again MR Sparks hits a home run......I love this book
Nicolas Sparks has finally wooed me. He was able to capture the story and the characters to a point that it brought tears to my own eyes as i heard the ending. Finally a book that I can treasure. So similar to my own experiences in life of love and loss and growing in different paths, it was awesome to hear and experience. One of my favorite authors of all times. Great job.
I would like to make the ending less predictable.
For a self-proclaimed Christian, I find it just a little disturbing Nicholas likes to flirt with situations of infidelity on a seemingly increasing trend. With the ability to write a solid and wonderful novel such as “A Walk to Remember”, why does he insist on bringing that kind of darkness into his otherwise pleasant and insightful stories? It is not needed and for my money, I believe he paints a better picture without it.
Nicholas Sparks has hit the bullseye -- again. This is a heart-warming story that keeps you involved from beginning to end.
