When I knew that Nicholas Sparks would be having his newest book released Oct. 11th, 2011 I could hardly wait! The wait was worth it, of course. He writes in a manner that keeps ones attention and always there is a twist that twinges the emotions, and this one doesn't fail to meet that.
This book is a combination Days of our Lives, and Family Feud. I don't know how I got it as I was looking in Mysteries and Thrillers. This is no page turner, and is very touchy feely. The ending is very hokey and I knew the ending long before it came. That said it is not a bad book, and is easy listening for an unrequited love story. There is some action, the family feud part, and a hint of ghosts, but not scary ones. Not my type of book, but if you like soaps, go for it.
I originally watched the on screen version of this story, and fell in love. The controversial relationship of a married women to someone other than her husband is still a story of love nonetheless. This story is told with wonderful narration, and I found myself transported with the characters just as I was with the film.
As with all Nicholas Sparks books, you will have trouble putting this one down, it is surprising, tender, and full of suspense . Enjoy!
