I read Nicholas Sparks for those mindless, escape novels, where you don't have to think or try to figure out the crime, etc. He tells an interesting story in all of his novels. Regular love story, that starts when the main characters are teenagers, then they go their separate ways only to meet again and rekindle their love that has never gone away. (sniff) This has an interesting twist, and is a more mature kind of love since the characters all have lived their lives apart and now are coming together after 20+ years at the funeral of a friend. A little sappy in parts, but overall, a comfort "food" for the brain.
Love, Destiny, Family
Amanda and Dawson walking through the field of wildflowers in front of Tuck's cabin
I don't think I have listened to any of Sean Pratt's recordings.
While I was able to predict the ending, the book kept my attention with the romance between Dawson and Amanda, and the choices that Dawson and Amanda had to make. The characters really came to life for me.
I love all audio books, helps me to do my hand work.
The whole story took each character to a new level for me, and I loved them all.
When the heart trans-plant was discovered.
It was the first time that my husband had listen to an audio book and he loved it. He is not feel well so this was a big think for me, it did bring a tear to my eyes.
For me, Nicholas Sparks, has done it again. I know not everyone is a fan of a romance novel, but the author combines so many other things into his stories that it becomes a romance on a much higher level. I didn’t give it much thought when I started the boook(as an audiobook)that it might not end the way I wanted it to, but true to Mr. Sparks history he ended it the way he wanted and that caused me to use a lot of Kleenex. I love the story line, the characters, the location and everything about this book.
If you are a Nicholas Sparks fan and want a good cry pick this one up right now. You’ll be so happy you did.
Story was really interesting. Too bad it ended so badly. Why do authors think we dont want a happy ending? I can get sad on the news for free....
I loved this book. Sparks is a wonderful writer and his stories are always so good that I can't wait for the next one.
I have most all of his books and have read some twice. They are all books I could not put down. Read them through in one long sitting!
I've read all of his novels and loved most all of the others. This one was too preditable. I didn't like the ending. I thought the character development was shallow and I didn't fall in love with any of the characters like I usually do. This story just seemed very force to me. I'm sure his next story will be better. The narator was great as Tuck but left a lot to be desired as Dawson and Amanda.
I am a huge fan of Nicholas Sparks... this book deeply touched my heart in ways too personal to explain... it is definitely one my of the top three books... I have already started listening to it once again. Thank you Mr. Sparks for the memories.
There were tears, and more tears. This book was Awesome, As all of Nicholas Sparks
Novels are. It has been a week or so since I finished this book and I still get goosebumps
when I think about it. How many of us have wondered, what our lives would be like had
we chosen a different path. This book is great and everyone should read it.
The story sounded good before I listened to it. The love story might have been there but no not really and the performance was dry and emotionless. It was like I was listening to several different stories that were connected by a thread and nothing was ever fully developed. Sorry but I'm not listening to any more Nicholas Sparks novels they have all been a disappointment.
