This book isn't the best feel good book of all time, but the story is gripping. I couldn't wait to get back to listening to it and this narrator Sean Pratt is Fantastic. He can bring the characters to life and with huge emotion. I loved listening to this man's voice. The ending is not what everyone would want, but it is what it is. I would have liked it to end different, but not all stories can end with a happy ending. I still give this one 5 stars on all counts. By the way, "One Last Ride" is the best Nicholas Sparks book ever. Don't miss that one and the narrator again, makes it so good.
Basic story was a good idea, but missed the mark. The movie captured a better story with more passion of love and loss. Usually the movie is not as good as the book, but in this case save yourself the time/money and just watch the movie...it's much better.
Love how the story was told from all angles...... You can feel the emotions of each character... I could visualize everything so vividly. The narrator was great.... The book got off to a slow start and the end was quite predicable to me. Overall, great read!
Great story. A little predictable but still touching. Can't help but think the reading of the character Tuck's southern accent sounds very much like Carl from the movie "Sling blade" just wished it was a bit more natural.
