I love all things Bianca Amato. Wish she would have narrated entire series. I realize each novel is the viewpoint of a different queen, but Bianca could have pulled it off.
This such a great love story with surprising events along the way. Life lessons can be learned here. Love this book I have listen more than three times already.
I like historical fiction and when the author makes you feel like you know the characters. Was an interesting take on life at court.
Lupus, Lupy belly dance teacher and photographer gal...in love with Midieavel novels...
This is a well written and quite a page turner. The life and experiences of a woman who created a history of amazing women and men, Jaquette, the great grandmother Henry the VIII and the 3rd great grandmother of the famed Elizabeth the I, the Virgin queen. And imagine, these amazing people were descendants of a mystical water Goddess!? You must read this book and the rest in Phillipa Gregory's White Queen series to figure that out.
The cousins' war series is wonderful. Have listened to it many times & always note something I must have missed before. Characters develop & change & grow. Hope she writes more series like this.
Have you ever seen the movie "Vantage Point"? To me, this series is the story of the Yorks told in that way. This story tells much about the White Queen's mother giving greater understanding of the period.
I really enjoy listening to her voice and it is perfect for the story.
Yes, Having not read or listened to the first 2 books, I had no expectation and was engaged for the whole story. beautifully written and the audio is Perfect.
History . Historical books don't often hold my attention, and I tend to drift at points. Not so with this book. Highly recommend it
Made it come alive and her voice gave clarity to emotion and events.
I loved to whole story..which is saying a lot for me, and each part told it's own layered story, and the voice gave these complicated layers life
First I read "The Other Boleyn Girl", then "The White Queen:, then "The Red Queen", and didn't think any other book could top those, but this one did. Philippa continues to feed my desire for more tales about the English royalty!
