Yes, Ellen is funny
No favorite. Just Ellen
I don't know
I love Ellen. She is so funny and a pleasure to listen to
Yes, when I enjoy a book I will read it more than once.
It was almost like listening to her on Tv.
I did it in two.
I expected more substance. I enjoy Ellen's humor and conversations on her show, however this contained so many short comments, asides, and unrelated content that it was more a rambling rather than a collection of short life stories with content.
I will download other books of humor, but will not do a repeat of an Ellen book.
I usually enjoy Ellen's presentations and especially her inflections even in this book, but I would not purchase another audio book of hers.
Please no follow-up book, if the content rambles and is as disconnected as this one.
I only listened to the last 1/4 of the book because I feel obligated to finish all books I begin.
No, listening to this book was not time well spent. It was not that funny.
No- I was bored by the book.
Her voice was clear. Her delivery was good. But, the book was boring.
Ellen read it herself
The adult section
When she said we should be kind to everyone.
This book is pretty good and funny and helps your mind to wonder off of the day to day stresses. Chapters are short with different subjects in each one. Not truly a "read" like a regular book, just
typical Ellen pointing out facts about everyday life that are funny!! I love Ellen and her show brightens my day!!!
Not many interesting stories. A couple attempts at humor but not what I expected.
No just on her talk show.
Yes, loved prior works
Love Ellen's comedy and previous books. But this one was like she was writing because she was forced to, for whatever reasons of which I have no clue to guess what they may be.
Let me preface: I'm a BIG fan of Ellen. This book, however, was horrible. It was filled with non-sense and ramblings. I skipped entire chapters, multiple times. I do not need to hear Ellen's random thoughts as she sits on a beach. I can do that myself. For free. And I definitely don't want to hear it as I'm on a crowded bus, during my commute.
I thought this would be more thought-provoking, laugh-out-loud funny. Instead it was Ellen digressing in these tangents that annoyed me and didn't even make sense. Have a good listen to the sample first. It doesn't get any better than this, trust me.
I'm disappointed I spent my Audible credit on this. I want my money back.
I love Ellen's comedy but as a narrator of a written book not so much. I may have liked the book more if I just used Ellen's voice in my head rather than her real voice. It wasnt much like her anyways, it was a bit monotoned and boring at times... I would definitely recommend the book to others though, just not in audio form.
