"I love Ellen, but this book was very boring."
I was not impressed by this book. I 100% adore Ellen, but this book was very mediocre.
"Love Ellen... a bit disappointed in the book!!"
Yes
Would have liked it more if Ellen read the story more like she talks in real life on her show. Sounded too much like reading, not as funny as I expected and I love her humor!!

"GREAT, as always!"
Ellen is always entertaining. This one is every bit as good as her previous audiobooks. I wondered if it would be too similar, but I really liked this one, too. Laughter really is important, and you'll get a real lift from this book
"Seriously Ellen?"
There wasn't any rich content. Maybe it was the audiobook and that I wasn't sitting down reading it... but I was bored out of my mind and I don't think I really laughed once. I watch Ellen almost daily, I love her and the charity work she does. I love her family. But this book was just so self-promotional and bleh.
It's also very self-promotional. She says she's at a point now where she feels totally comfortable with herself and that she's totally happy. But then she leaves it at that. Or she'll talk about being a supermodel with Covergirl... and you expect her to say something like
It wasn't really a story. There are 55 chapters and most of them are pure random. I love silly humor but this didn't meet the mark. She does a chapter on falling asleep and another on meditation (these are supposed to be funny) and I seriously almost fell asleep while driving.
I enjoy her show and her causes, just not this book.
I love it when she talks about her wife. You can tell she really loves her.
I just wish is was better! I had high hopes, I'm always calling Ellen the next Oprah.

"Painfully unfunny."
My wife and I generally loved Ellen DeGeneres's stand-up and looked forward to this to listen to together on a car trip together. After about an hour and a half (a very fair trial, I think), we just looked at each other and agreed
No.
She should have been the perfect choice, and was. Just needed better content.
"Seriously....... I'm not Kidding Save Your Money"
I'm a big fan of Ellen but this book is such a rip off. Shame on her for publishing a misch mosch of verbal nonsense. It's boring and if she had listened to her own words she would have pulled it off the shelves.
I'm listening to Steven King's 11-22-63
No I don't think so.
None
Nope
"Don't waste your money"
I would not listen/buy anything by Ellen again. This book has absolutely no point, she is just rambling on with pointless stories, that do not connect. She does not open up about her personal life, there is no
"Funny as ever. Good listen."
The humor was relatable and clean so I could listen around my child.
Her phrasing and the emphasis she puts into her reading gets her point/comedy across better.
It made me laugh. Often.
"Seriously...ok"
Ehhhh....like others, I love Ellen, and got this audiobook for a fun/easy listen on my commute. I did laugh out loud several times, but not often enough. There were some chapters where I just had to wonder what the humor was. I also wish the PDF was available to download since there were several references to it. So, seriously, it was just ok.
"I love Ellen, but not this book =("
I felt as though she was reading a script instead over her own book. It was like someone was trying to "play" Ellen, if that makes sense. I'm used to her talking and telling story in a certain way, more casually, I guess, and that did not come across in her book. It was sort of.... flat. It is funny and silly, but just not as funny as Ellen is when she just talks and interviews.
