I'm not a huge fan of military sci-fi, but this one has some pretty nice twists on the standard pattern. For the most part the characters are likeable and the plot is interesting.
Definitely. The story is action packed and exciting. The second half is much more interesting that the first which is all building action to the combat.
As soon as they join the Macros the book becomes impossible to put down.
KYLE RIGGS, super professor!
The list of humanities enemies just got longer
Really fun read, can't wait for the next one
This is a great distraction if you are looking to give your brain a rest. It is very engaging, has a great story line, fully developed characters and a good reader.
Marvin. you never know what he will do next.
the loss of nanites at the onset of the book
fighting for the survival of the human race
If you like old school action where the main character kicks butt and gets the girl, this is probably a good series for you. If you're looking for complex characters, dialogue, or scientific theory, you might want to save your credit.
If "Swarm: Star Force, Book 1" picked you up and wouldn't put you down, "Extinction: Star Force, Book 2" will inject you with Nanos. V.B. Larson does a great job of creating a world where action is king, and one suicidal man is just crazy enough to try filling the leading role. This is a fast paced, fun read that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's sprinkled with science, space, and tech, but keeps things flowing.
Detailed, expansive, thrilling
Jonn Carter, credible aliens and the exploitation of known technology in an expanded manner
The description of the worms attacking
High tech marines meet high tech machines
An entertaining series which I have enjoyed
I like to listen to a good book. Mostly Sci-Fi but some others. I listen to them while on the road or before I go to sleep. Thanks Audible!
I find this book as good if not better then the first one. Where I thought the first one was a little slow in the beginning, this one picks up from the first with non stop action.
after listening to Swarm, I downloaded the next two, starting with this one. Book two in the series did not disappoint in anyway. Now that I know the players in the story line and can relate to them, it is just getting better. I loved Swarm, I love this one even more.
I have started to listen to the third book in the series and have already downloaded the last (book four)
Mark Boyett is still bring the players to life for me. Easy to listen to. I will be looking for other books narrated by him. He is now moving to the top of my favorite readers.
Matthew Reilly Fan
This was a fun listen! There is a bit of foreshadowing that I expect will payoff in future books in the series.
B. V. Larson does it again.... Book 2 held my attention just as strongly as book 2. Anyone that is a space Sci-Fi fan will enjoy this series.
