"The last terry pratchett?"
Perhaps, nonetheless as always I loved it, superb performance and an enjoyable story. Rip Mr Pratchett your wonderful stories will live on, never failing to raise a smile and a thought. Thank you
... But may be biased. I love everything Sir Terry Pratchett has written.
(I need eight more words - difficult, I'll manage.)
Superb book. Light reading it yourself. Listened at least 10 times in a month. Will buy more discworld books. RIP Sir Terry
Vimes is a great character and this book is exceptionally well written and well performed.
I lost hours listening to this book whilst working and also whilst driving to places
loved reading it. loved listening to Steven Briggs reading it to me even more! Bedtime stories for grown ups. hallelujah
"Enjoyed it, twice!"
What can I say that hasn't already been said already?
Not much really.
If your are into Discworld you will love it (and probably end up listening to it twice), if not then you may find it a bit hard to follow, although that should put off the adventurous.
narrated by the wonderful Stephen Briggs a great book and a great listen especially at bathtime or bedtime or when you're doing the washing up
Vimes is one of my favourite Terry Pratchett characters and it was great have a new story focusing on him
Once again Terry Pratchett shows a different slant to a new race of characters - this time Goblins. Changing and challenging the expectations the reader brings with them, showing not all it what it seems
Vimes's interations with Young Sam
"What makes us human?"
As generally happens, the latest Terry Pratchett is often my favourite... so having just listened to this (after reading it twice) it is currently a favourite.
As with many of the Terry Pratchett's there's so much to think about or there's just a really good story that takes you along for the ride. It compares well to other more recent TPs.
I've always liked Commander Vimes, doesn't seem to matter who performs him, he's always value for money!
Yes. But with work and kids and various other commitments it is just for listening to in chunks while I knit or fold washing.
