Absolutely perfect narration - not one note jarred. Love all the Discworld novels but this narration enhances one's enjoyment
"Good as ever"
Terry Pratchett fans will not be disappointed - a great Sam Vimes book and as good as reading it yourself.
really great book, excellent reading, really enjoyed the way the characters were bought to life.
Another absolutely cracking read from the mind Of Terry Pratchett. well read, and can't recommend highly enough.
Stephen Briggs is great - the best narrator of the Discworld books. He captures them perfectly.
An underrated Pratchett book. Vimes upholding the law again. A gentle start, accelerating towards a fast paced finish Excellent!
"Exciting and fun"
For the fans of Commander Vimes it is an awesome development into his new "relationship" and Willikins is badass as ever! ;)
"wonderful and thought provoking as ever"
Once again submerged in the world of Vimes I was as happy as ever and the hours listening simply flew by. So sad when it ended.
"One of Sir Terry's best"
This is one of Sir Terry's best books, the story as pace and the humour is spot on. I have listen to it countless times and would recommend, as always Stephen Briggs puts in a top notch performance and helps bring the story alive.
This book showcases Sam Vimes, what a man. Noble, honourable, kind, hard bitten, righter of wrongs, husband of the indomitable Sybil, father of Sam (whose poo obsession is hilarious), friend, mentor, hero and all round good guy. The book also features Widdikins (sp?), a gentleman's gentleman and so much more. The rest of the watch are there but in small doses. Loved it and will listen again and again.
