I enjoyed almost every part of this book. I do wonder if people of similar faith as John think that non faith individuals like me can reach level 5 leadership. At the end it seems as though a lot of emphasis is placed on faith over actual being a great leader who believe in the humanity of other people... I will keep wondering

A great book! A must read for all leaders. Highly recommend this book. Get it
this is one you will need to take notes. Great information on becoming the best leader you can be. I listened to this book after I had attended a class and wish I had done it backwards. those there are some dry parts, and listening to Mr. Maxwell is like listen to you wise old uncle so I really had to force myself to really listen and apply it. this is why I gave it a 5 star for overall because if you are in a work place you NEED to get this one. But as for the 3's you are going to have to power through it.
Narration by Maxwell was excellent.
He packed this book with key points of leadership, often repeated but rightfully so.
However, during the course, I longed for in-depth stories as illustrations rather than tidbits of them; at the end he rounded off the book's key points with a wonderful story.
Another memorable moment was the reminder of the trail of leadership influence in ancient Greece made possible by mentorship.
I used to think leadership was about getting the job done right. This book taught me that leadership is about inspiring others to develop their own potential AND getting the job done right. Truly life-changing.
