I downloaded this book based on previous reviews, and boy was I disappointed! I have enjoyed other Sandra Brown books, but this one was so predictable. And slow! I could not wait for it to be over, did a lot of fast forwarding. The ridiculous and repetitive banter between Coburn and Honor drove me nuts! I actually laughed hysterically at the end when the identity of the

This was my first book by Sandra Brown and I truly enjoyed it. The story was, for the most part, very well written, exciting and one I didn't want to leave. The narration was pitch perfect. The only caveat was the ending. The way Sandra pulled the plots and mystery together at the end was full of holes and, I'm afraid, not at all credible. I didn't believe the solution to the mystery. The actual ending left me flat and feeling like something important was missing. If it had not been for the ragged ending, I would have given this book 5 stars. Her writing left me wanting more and I will definitely listen to more of her books and hope she handles the resolution better next time!
I loved the story and how the suspense was on from the very first moment till the very end.
Victor Slezak added a lot to the story. I do not believe the book would the same effect had I listened to it from someone else.
Yes. This wasn't a
It was a bit predictable.
Sometimes when the narrator would use the woman's/kid's voice, it annoyed me. But, that may just be me. It just took me away from the story.
If it was made into a T.V. movie, I'd probably watch it.
There were a couple of creative moments that I wouldn't have thought of, so I give points for that.
I enjoyed this story and the twists it offered. The writing is fairly simple but overall enjoyable
I thought this was a pretty good story. Kept me guessing most of the time. I loved all of it except for the very end. Would have loved some closure.
I really enjoy Audible and the great choice of books. I like true stories, good mysteries, and books about life events.
I like a book that is believable, and you can relate to the characters. The story must be fast paced with unforseen changes in the plot.
this book does it ALL, and does it well. The author kept the story alive, and managed to increase the "tension" as it progressed.
sandra Brown did a superb job, this was not a run of the mill who dun it tale. If you want to be kept on the edge, this is a book you will not want to miss.
As far as Sandra Brown I find her books to be hit or miss. The story is a little unbelievable and it drags especially early on. Overall I like her books, this one was a miss.
Well read but the story just did not hold up. Way too much poor kids stuff and an ending that was just too far out. I have enjoyed some of her other books, but this one some how got off the tracks. Some interesting moments, unfortunately over shadowed by the poor and unbelievable story line. I could not wait for this book to end while hoping for the best.
Say something about yourself!
I wasn't sure I'd like this but it was a very pleasant surprise. I could NOT put it down, so to speak..
