I prefer the audio version because it's easier to get caught up in the charaters
All of the JD Robb series. Next to Jim Daley, she's the best.
It did make me tear up in a couple of places
The "in Death" series (my favorite) keeps me coming back for more because of the meaty stories, the history of the characterizations, the funny moments sometimes followed by tears. Overall the books keep me coming back again and again. I have them all on MP3 and have listened in chronological order many times.
I have recommended this series to as many people who listen to books and hope that J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts) keeps them coming.
The killer wasn't obvious but didn't come out of nowhere either, that's the best.
Jekel & Hyde angle
It wouldn't be an Eve Dallas story without Susan, she IS the characters' voice. I lover her intensity, she really pulls me into the story.
These books always make me laugh, I love the banter and snarky comments.
This was shorter than most of the books in the series, but I like one that I can finish in one day off and on. Didn't take away from the story at all.
SOmeone who has never enjoyed a Dallas book.
Absolutely - this was an aberation.
Susan Erikson is the voice of the In Death series.
all of it.
Weird, entertaing story
I think I like JD Robb's stories better when they are closer to real-life, thrilling events.
Yes, I have. I find her performance outstanding, as always.
No. Not really.
I'm quite ready for JD Robb's next
Loved the newest book in the series and will definitely listen to it again! This book is true to the Eve Dallas style but a little quirky! Interesting characters but I would have liked to see more development of the villian!
No, I wouldn't listen again. The reader was HORRIBLE and her voice distracted me from the story line.
I am a retired Court Reporter and I LOVE books. All kinds of books but my favorites are mysteries and period books. I like civil war books and some biographies.
Thank goodness, she's back and back with her team. The story was exciting from the very first. I just wish it was much longer.
Just Boring! I like Eve, but not this story. Reader voice was sharp, hard to listen to, could hardly wait until it was over or at least got better.
I love reading J.D. Robb....I have all of the paperback novels however I have never been so disappointed with an audio edition as I was with this novel.I have always had a clear vision of what the characters would sound like and the narrator had all the characters soooo wrong...Roark is suppose to have a hint of Irish in his voice and Ms. Erickson had him sounding like he just got off the docks.Det Peabody is suppose to be a person that is sympathetic and comes from a Free Age family and sounded more like a Rottweiler
Since I had already read all the J.D. Robb novels I had a sense off what the characters would sound like and most characters were not bad but the ones that were bad were really bad.I would think twice about purchasing an audible novel read by this narrator.
