Bi-Vocational Pastor/Draftsman. Full time husband and dad. Audiobooks are a staple in my life because I can read and work...
I get the point of the book now. It could be subtitled "Everything else you should try before you really quit your day job." Almost the entire book is great advice that should be taken seriously, but I was going into the book having already developed a plan and it just seemed to take a long time to get to the stuff that I purchased the book for. It would be great for someone who knows nothing but 'I hate my job and want to do ____.' Reads fairly fast paced and the author did a decent job of narrating. Hope this helps.
Yes.This is a real no BS version of other similar books. What this guy preaches :) makes much sense,If you have that
This is a cheap investment in your self even if you don't agree with all that he has to say
Somewhat, I did pick up some good info, but didn’t agree with some other info
I don’t think so, I found myself drifting off into other thoughts that had nothing to do with what I was listening to, other books just hold my attention, I had to keep re focusing, or I wouldn’t remember what was said
Acuff is very repetitive and keeps referring to how he reached his dream job. Which is great for him but is not relevant to me.
After Chapter 2 the book could not keep my attention.
I am a fan of Dave Ramsey but Jon Acuff is no where near as inspiring. He kept going on-and-on about how he reached his dream job working for Dave Ramsey. Very disappointed.
It was very practical to where I'm at in life right now. His excitement and
He was able to share his story with some very practical tips and applications.
There was only one...
Not to quit my day job.
