I learned so much and was deeply inspired by the story
That doing good can still be a good business model
This audiobook would have been much more riveting if it was read by a professional reader and not the author. I was distracted by the dull slowness and mispronunciation of some words.
Also, I would have preferred to see it in the autobiography section rather than the business section. Not to sure there is very much business advice but more of a nice story of how one person is trying to make a difference.
The fact that encourages you to not give up and to help others
Do something that matters and give back.
I purchased this book after reading some other reviews. I was not disappointed at all! In fact, I have listened to it twice now. Blake's story made me want to go out and do
This was the first time I listened to anything by Blake.
That if you do something to better society, it would be well worth the time and effort...and could make you a healthy income as well.

Blake Mycoskie relates his own story of TOMS Shoes (based in Santa Monica). The idea behind his company is: you buy a pair of shoes and a new pair will be donated to a child in need of shoes. What I hold through is the art of his storytelling: he has been capable to deliver the power to his customers to spread his message.
However I think that out of the 5 hours of listening, only the half got my attention 'cause the rest was not especially linked to his story- like business cases you've already heard a thousand times before. Despite this, Blake is passionate, down to earth and he never gives up so only for this, he deserves to be listened to at least once.
I could not stop listening ! Thank you Blake for letting us know your story !
Blakes Mom , Because without her we would not have Blake !

Reminded me to be true to myself.
I LOVE this audio book. This is the most inspiring story I have heard in a long time and has spurred some amazing changes in my business. Blake is an amazing dude and I love his narration as well.
Can not recommend this audio. I respect that he was able to make a profit while helping kids who really need shoes, and found his story very compelling. Unfortunately, he waters down his message by going into how to succeed in business. Do I really need to read how to unclutter my workspace from this book? What bothered me the most was that he was just giving his opinions on business practices, but presented them as if they were best practices just because that???s what he did. While there was some good content like his story and the section on freebies, overall it felt drawn out and preachy in parts.
