I am a 57 year old book addict. I started out reading Daniel Steele and Sidney Shelton novels 30 years ago. Since then I have added literally hundreds of authors. I take the time to write reviews on books that sweep me away. So if I have really loved that particular book. There have been a couple over the years I reviewed because I truly hated them too.
I read the first book eagerly. I read the second book eagerly. The third and fourth books I fast forwarded through parts. I totally skipped the fifth book. I read the sixth book with reservations, but I'm glad I got it. Ms Mead did end the series very well.
I would recommend this series to those who read a book a month, or a book a year, but a "read the entire series in rapid succession reader " I would advise to space this series out.
The narrator did a great job. She made every character come to life. I look forward to other books she narrates.
I have never enjoyed a series as much, it hit every emotion in the spectrum I didn't sleep for 3 days while I listened to them all
After reading the series and finally getting Audible app, I decided to listen to my favorite succubus story and was not bored and loved it even more. Elisabeth Rogers did a fantastic job narrating the series and this last one was the best out of all of them. Carter's intervention broke my heart, Seth's pain, and Georgina's bravery all came across with perfection. I am so happy I got this series, while bee listening to them again & again.
Absolutely, and believe me I already have.
This was one of my all time favorite series! I will enjoy listening to it again in the near future. Richelle has a way with words and Elisabeth has a way with voices! There is no one else who could have sounded better for this character. I highly recommend this series. I am sad this world has come to an end but it couldn't have been done better, it ended perfectly.
Keeps your interest and weaves Georgina's back story together quite well to end the series. I am impressed. You will be too.
Every chance I get I recommend this to my friends. It is an amazing story full of plot twists that keep you turning the pages. Not wanting to put it down.
The dynamic between Seth and Georgina. And the revelations in this installment. I didn't see it coming and I loved every minute of it.
She brings the characters to life. She is good at letting you know who is who in the books. She gives each character their own personalities.
The devils in the details.
Finally, expected, wow
Georgina and she wasn't completely evil.
The author shouldn't redundantly give description of every character in the series
I have listened to most of the books in this series and for the most part they have an enjoyable way to pass leisure time. This book is different.
The premise of this book is that Hell-the devil has made a bad contract with Georgina, the succubus and her lover, Seth Mortenson in the fifth century. Hell is now trying to do a cover up. A friend of Georgina who has discovered the defective contracts is murdered. Along the way there is a visit to Las Vegas. A hypnosis uncovers rebirths of Seth's soul through 9 different lives dating back to the 5th century.
There is a hilarious trial in hell to determine the validity of contracts signed with Hell in the 5th century.
And finally, the standard happy ending.
Ms. Mead has dealt with heady concepts in a light enjoyable read, She examines good and evil, and heaven and Hell. She examines the concept of reincarnation and whether past lives can influence the current life. She also examines the contracts we make with heaven and hell in our life., In Goethe's hand these are weighty and dramatic subjects. In Ms. Mead's hands they are enjoyable , light reading. With out much discussion, these deep and mysterious concepts are presented as an integral part of the narrative.
A creative, imaginative book
I think we all want happy endings, no matter how damned we feel our soul is. This is no different for our protagonist Georgina Kincaid. The book’s final chapters were done very well, and some of the plot is still surprising. Although, I think I had figured it out by book 3. This series was worth a read. Or in our case, a listen.
