Yes I would reccommend to a friend.
The way Kat always kicks butt & Bones loves his wife so much. They went to such extremes in this book to catch the bad guy.
Her accents are wonderful. She makes the whole story come alive.
Kats new powers made me laugh trying to control them.
Start at the beginning of the series. I missed one book & it took me awhile to catch up
I would seriously recommend all of the night huntress books to anyone.
I can't recall the details of the story as I read this one months ago - certainly time to go back and read them all again.
I do remember that I loved them all. I love the chemistry. I laughed out loud - love a book that makes me do that!
Oh and how could I forget the narrator? Love Tavia!!!!!
Can't wait for the next book!
Why yes, I do frequently burst out in song!
Tyler, he is sooo 'understated' - there's more there than you think. Dexter, sounds like a doll.
Tyler scoping out Ian... and Ians reply.. LMAO
Absolutely. Jeanine Frost has created such a strong relationship between all the main characters and with each book in this series you can feel the relationship between Kat and Bones grow stronger.
We've come to expect a little gratuitous sex in each of her books, this book does not give you that.
Although you always know who the bad guy is from the start Jeanine Frost does keep you entertained with the journey of resoluting the problem at hand.
I think Tavia Gilbert does very well giving all the different characters their own voice.
Yes, however, I never get to do that.
This series is about overcoming prejudice, a growing relationship, good friends all working together to keep the world safe from the unsavory preternatural world. Start with the first book and work your way through them all. Koodos to both Jeanine Frost and Tavia Gilbert to the writing and execution the book.
The humor, the twists in the plot and how everything connects, and of course the romance/love with Bones! Gotta love it.
Not sure. It's always hard to make a movie from a book.
Not really, just great entertaining fun with loads of romance and humor. What more can you want for a great escape with good plots and funny, great characters.
I love the series! I love the author and narrator
She is an awesome narrator she has the ability to be all the different characters. Not all narrators are able to make you truly believe they are both male and female character.
I would only recommend this book as a part of the whole Night Huntress Series. You definitely can't read/listen this far without including book 6. On it's own however, it would leave the reader questioning wether it was worth going back to read books 1-5. Actually, you wouldn't need to, based on the fact that half of the book is spent reflecting and filling in the reader in on what has already happened. Let's face it, if we have made it to Book 6....WE KNOW ALREADY. Frost needs to lose the filler text and get into some real story.
I would only recommend this book to a friend if they were already a fan of the series like myself. I really enjoy the characters, and love the strength that Cat possess. The never ending love she shares with Bones is wonderful, and makes me feel comfortable that he will get her out of any mess she gets into. In saying that though, they seem to be falling into the old 'comfortable' situation. I would like to see more of the detailed intimate conversations as in books 1 and 2.
Cat...she reads here really well. Sometimes her accent for Bones slips in between pirate (with figurative parrot) or upper crust english gent (as with this particular book). It is as if Tavia was given some feedback to tone the pirate down. In saying that, I can't imagine anyone else reading this series, and look forward to the next audio book.
Yes...if only to find out what happens next.
I am really hoping that Frost listens to feedback that I have read from a few readers/listeners and not rushes and puts some real thought into book 7, as I LOVE her series.
I am so thankful for the audio version, Tavia is wonderful, I've grown used to her voice which I include now as a part of the story. . My life is very busy and I have limited time to sill myself to actually read a book for personal satisfaction. Audible has granted me a pleasure that I can access while driving, as a joyful mental exercise towards work and a decompression for my brain on the way home and about town. Audible is addictive!!
Every book in this series is good, they build on each other, you become a comrade in their struggles
Yes I have listened to this series and they are consistent in performance, although I note a familiarity to the characters in the later books that was not capable of being present in the first ones. I have not listened to any works out side of this series in which Tavia has read
The rest of the books in the series were awesome, but this one was slow and lacked the frenzied fast paced excitement of the others. I crawled through it and quit when I only had like 10 or 15 minutes left because I was so bored. Keeping fingers crossed for the next one.
