I like the way the narrator speaks with feeling that the writer is trying to convey.
Expresses feeling well
Your emotions don't get to vote
Sometimes Joyce goes on and on and on about the same thing and it gets a little boring because you get the point the first time she said it, but I think it's just because she wants you to get the idea drilled into your head and not forget it.
There is lot of good information in this book but the narration was horrible. I finish all of my books no matter what but this one, I have yet to finish. The narrator is so monotone, it is torture on the ears. Was very disappointing considering how much I adore listening and learning from Joyce Meyer. I think this one is best left a reader.
Yes I would recommend this book. It's something we all should know!
Watching that my feelings stay in check
They should be teaching this in school
Narrarator is HORRIBLE! Annoying voice.
Good book, but wish I would have bought it in print form.
HUGE Joyce Meyer fan. But will NEVER ever buy a book narrated by Sandra McCollum again.
The narrator, Sandra McCollom. I'm taking advantage of audibles "Great Listen Guarantee" & replacing the book w/ another Joyce Meyer book (and another narrator). I feel somewhat horrible for making such a decision, but there's just no need for such monotone indifference when you choose to narrate books for a living. I pay iTunes for the artists I want to listen to & choose not to pay for stuff that makes my ears hurt. Sadly, this did. Shout out to Charnjeet with Audible Customer Service for addressing my complaint, & telling me about the 365 day satisfaction guarantee, there's no other guarantee like it. Thank you, you guys rock.
Joyce Meyer herself! I do like Dick Fredricks, he reads the way I imagine the author would read.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get through the first chapter. The narrator proved too distracting for me.
Although I have come to love audible, this is not a cheap alternative to reading. That being said, it's unfortunate that we can't be given a choice between at least two narrators. But from now on, although it pains me to return a book that I really want to "read", I will return it. Especially if I feel the narrator sounds like they have a gun being held to their head, forced to read a book they absolutely loathe & despise.
Great book! I only wish I would have read this years ago. It would have saved me a lot of trouble in life. Feelings are so important. They drive action. Point is don't let them drive you into the ditch. Good book.
the authors views seemed to be mostly about God......not quite what I was looking for. God has nothing to do with controlled feelings
