I am dyslexic! If it wasn't audible I would not even be able to know what's in a book. I found out I love books.
The whole series was really great.I recommend every book.
I would not compare this book to any of the book I listen to.
I guess I would say the whole thing,
I'll listen to all these books back to back-to-back divide the whole series.
I would say listen to all of them they're really good!
Fear is the mind Killer, so Face Your Fear
There was not a part I loved, but I did enjoy the constantly engaging story
9 was my favorite character. He was a little bit a fun chaotic character.
IT was read very well and he transitioned between characters seamlessly.
Aliens save earth
The story is decent but the Narrirator makes me want to put sharp objects in my ears. His rendition of the main character is adequate but the supporting characters are absolutely destructive to the whole ambiance that the author wants to portray. Is it just me or does anyone else hear PeeWee Herman? The females should be teens but I hear 9 year olds. What was the production company thinking in casting this Narrirator? Too bad for the story has potential. I think I will just buy the printed copies of this series unless they change to a better Narrirator.
I listen to books while running and walking my dog so on average about an hour day and like books that have a good pace to them.
This being the second book in the series i expected a smooth transition from the first but was thrown off by the female narrator that opened this installment. This jarring start was quickly forgotten as the action picked up. the author tried to build suspense by switching between story lines and the narrators did a good job with their respective parts. However, i felt that some of the portrayals were a little flat as characters faced mortal danger or revealed haunted and traumatic pasts. Finally, i am concerned that as these books continue the main character #4 seems to be increasingly whiny and at times during this book i found myself hoping that he would suffer a horrible fate at the hands of his enemies. I have moved on to the third book and am hoping for better but i am afraid that this series has already peaked.
Number 3 out of my top four. One being, "Pride & Prejudice", two being "I am Number 4", three, "The Power of Six" & four "The Rise of Nine".
Book one. Same author & narrator.
Listen to this audiobook
tried way too hard
boredom, regret at wasting a credit.
I wish I'd been more circumspect with my credit
I liked the story, but I probably won't listen to it again.
I liked the excitement in his voice and the way he changed his voice for each character. He did a great job
I like how the book moves quickly and keeps you thinking ahead
It's a continuation, so you can't jump in. it's special.
Yes! My hour commute was not long enough.
Yes, but I haven't even looked at the print version. Listening just saves me time.
I saw the movie, "I Am Number Four" and wanted to know what happened next. This book was a good continuation of the story, but it doesn't end at the end of this book either.
He adds some pretty good character voices and dramatic effects.
For a YA book it's probably not bad .. except that the male narrator, supposedly a 16 year old boy and other youths of about the same age, sounded like a middle aged smoker and it was hard to develop any empathy for him or the characters he portrayed. Sure I might be interested in knowing what happens next .. but not enough to endure his narration. I hope I got this on sale as it wasn't worth much.
