This book was just as hard to put down as Rot and Ruin! Once again Jonathan Maberry crafted a story that simply compelled you to continue reading. Dust and Decay introduced a few new characters while constantly evolving the original characters in realistic ways. The insight into human character is wonderful. This series is less about the dead and more about the way we approach living. I wept at the end, it was so unexpected and unwelcome! I can, however, clearly see how this book -and that ending - will flow beautifully into another book. This is a series not to be missed!
As a post apocalyptic/zombie novel it falls into the same category as The Forest of Hands and Teeth series.
This story is performed wonderfully! He has a voice that seems very sympathetic to the characters.
Well I'd have to steal a line from the book: Remember, in the Rot & Ruin everything wants to kill you.
Fantastic book to read or listen to - or both!
this book was very well narrated and written I enjoyed it very much. not a big zombie fan but this is a good zombie book the series is going to be very well done.

I loved everything about this book, the characters, their growth and interactions with one another, the dialogue and the excellent action sequences (you can tell that the writer is a practitioner of martial arts) but it is also so very, very sad that this will be it for me - I'll be ending my enjoyment of the series here.
But at the same time, the ending, while deeply sad, is very powerful and poignant and I wouldn't be surprised if that's more than enough incentive for many of you braver than I to continue reading. Enjoy!
Two brothers. Their friend. Take on the world. For a Book that falls into the YA category, this is an extremely well written book. I've read other books from Mayberry and they're all very engaging. This one does not disappoint. Zombies (or Zoms), action, love and loss. This one has it all.
This one is for anyone who enjoys a good adventure.
Hate the ending. Wish it could have been different because it would have added flavor to the story as it unfolds further
When I started this audible book, my thoughts were it was for a younger listener, but I heard it through. Good narrator and decent story. I may continue with others to see how the story evolves. Not the best I've heard but no way near the worst...
I was amazed at where this story ended up going and I look forward to the next installment. This was a series that I've had on my shelves for quite some time and finally decided to pick up and man am I glad I did!

This is a fantasticly read sequel to Rot and Ruin and as a whole was better than the first book. It is not a book that would have much meaning if you had not read the first installment so make sure you give that a listen also.
