This being the second time listening to this series. Well, yes, I would listen to this a second time. LOL
Love the supernatural, humor, alpha males, strong women who can handle the alpha males, and all of the valkyrie.
The narrators bring this to life. There's nothing like listening to a good book and good narrators at work. Hagan Verret and Simone Fomhar have brought this story to life for sure.
What can you say about one of the best Vampire, Lykae, etc. series out there. I want more!
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
I'm glad I didn't start with this book. It was defiantly not as good as the other books in this series, I recommend starting with A Hunger Like No Other. I like Kaderin/Sebastian's and Maraketa/Bowen's stories the best. This book did have some questionable sex scenes that was on the verge of rape that was a turn off for me, but Myst loved it so I guess to each her own. I didn't think the narrators where that bad, but I think they should have just stuck with the male voice. I am not a fan of duel narration.
Tell us about yourself!
I have listened to almost every single book by Kresley Cole and I have to say how disappointing this narration was. I'm not sure why Robert Petkoff didn't narrate this book but it's a shame because his narration is amazing.
NO! The male narrator was not too bad but the female narrator was terrible. She didn't even really try to change her voice when speaking all the different female voices. It seemed rather lazy on her behalf.
Boredom. I am sure I would have enjoyed the book more if the female narrator wasn't a part of it. I would have really enjoyed it if Robert Petkoff narrated it.
The whole reason why I buy audio books is for the performance. I just wasnt feeling these narrators. I don't mean to be rude, I truly do not, but I just wish they would have stuck with Robert Petkoff. His characters come to life.
Believer in what you can't see
I would recommend the book over the audiobook. This is the first audiobook done so the performance is a little off.
"No rest for the Wicked'"very entertaining and adventurous. Think Amazing Race with supernatural beings.
Juanita Parker would work in this series. She has a great range; you forget that there is only one person doing the narration.
Somewhat, just because it brings the characters to life.
I love the first half of this series, it is fun, quirky and passionate. Definitely a good series.
Very high as I adore all of Kresley Coles books but really would have preffered if Rpobert Petkoff had narrated this one as well
Hmmmm to many good bits to chose!
All of Kresleys books make you laugh, moan and sometimes cry.
Kresleys books hold the right amount of passion, humour and action for my liking. I love the fantasy world she has created in these books and the way they tye together so well. Brilliant books and I can't wait for more!
This series is the best this far. The narrator I can't get enough of. I want every book in this series available on audible. I didn't get this one until I could find book 7, mainly because of the length of it, but I wasn't disappointed.
I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
I don't usually bother with novellas but after reading the first novel of this series, I was compelled to read Myst and Wroth's story as well. Enjoyable short read and although the climax was a cliche, I still loved it.
Can't wait to read more of this series!
I held off reading this one because of the mixed reviews about the dual narration and inconsistant voice characterizations. Now I wish I hadn't. In my opionion the two narrator approach worked just fine. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
I do however, prefer Robert Petkoff's reading of the books and was disappointed to find that all of the books in the series do not have an audio edition.
I loved listening to Robert Petkoff narrate, but these 2 narrators totally made my listening experience miserable.
I love the steamy romance of Kresley Cole's books. However, I did not care for the way that it was narrated.
The narration was done with both a male and female. They took turns reading both genders in the story which was a big distraction to me. I think the story would have been a lot more enjoyable if the male narrator read the male parts of the story and the female narrator read the female parts.
