"Why all the hatred for the readers?"
Granted the reading wasn't ideal but it's not like they were reading at the same time like it were a script. It's obvious that they were read separetly and spliced together so blame Audible not the readers. That being said Peter Petkoff would have been a better choice to read this book since we're all used to him and that's saying a lot for me becuase I'm a male and tend to lean towards books with female readers. this book helps to build on the relationship and clarify questions on Myst's and Wroth's relationship left unanswered in book 1. I didn't think I'd like this series but have been counting down until today when I can download book 3. I would recommend this series to anyone. So far it is my second favorite behind the Night Huntress series.
"Good Series"
The story never really gets off the ground. I'd give it a C out of an A+ series.
I've listened to the rest of the series, and it's fantastic!
The Narrator did a good job.
The book is good to listen to, if for nothing else - to get a jump off point for the rest of the series.
Hot!
"Hot, heated and HOT!"
Love the narrator!! Love the heat between the characters, and the setting.
The remainder of this series from Kresley Cole. Also falls along the lines of J.R. Wards, The Black Dagger Brotherhood series, but more sexual???
"Excellent book all the way around."
It was written in a paranormal setting. I love paranormal books.
It's a love story first, yet has a wonderful story to tell.
Wroth and Myst.
?
No.
"LOVE IT!!!!! Now where are the rest of the books?"
Wonderful Series, one of my favorites.
These stories are great and love that the women are strong.

"A bit too "Mills and Boon""
It's a perfectly good book for that genre - just not the genre for me.

"loved the book, narration...not so much"
Whoever decided that the male & female narrators should take turns doing chapters (rather than reading the male & female parts) should be fired!!!! Geez, Although I loved the male narrator (who also did the Myst character well) the female narrator did an awful job at narration. I wanted to set my iPod on SLOW so that I could catch all she was saying she talked so fast. And she definitely did not have the voice to pull off the role of Nickoli. After I listened to the book the first time... I just played it again - skipping the chapters she read. Much more enjoyable.
"Wonderful story!"
I've read all the books in Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series, and they are my absolute favorite paranomral romance books. I'm also a huge fan of audio books, and can't wait until the entire series is available. The narrators of this book (actually a novella prequel to the series) could have been better, but weren't horrible. It was definitely worth purchasing and listening to. The next two books in the series are full-length and have a great narrator, so be sure to check them out.
"Romantically Erotic"
Loved this one, this author makes me laugh, fell in love with the hero, he wasn't off at all, the narraitors were right on having both the female and the male voices. This author really knows how to tell a story and hold your attention with the sexy steamy scenes being perfect no stupid. I want more!
