I love to read with my ears while doing chores, running or driving.

Earl; he is so cool
Yes, the others in this series. I think he is excellent; you hardly notice his "voices" even though he is using them to keep you in tune with who is talking.
Yes, even though I have to work....what a luxury that would be!
I was worried that this story would be as good as the others in the series when I realized that it was based on just Earl and not the others characters. However, it was just as interesting and I "bonded" with Earl in this story. He is awesome!
Well I do not understand when they describe the guns and equipment, but thankfully I really do not need to in order to understand the story.
I am nearly dome with this short series and hope I will be hearing that some more books are coming out.
The author's writing style gets better with each book. His conversations between characters is realistic and his action scenes are very well done - the pace is excellentt. Earl Harbinger is my favorite character, so this book, which features Earl, was a welcome approach for the series. I believe there are at least two new characters, maybe three, that will appear in future volumes. I am going to download the 4th book with my next new credit to find out.
I cannot say enough great things about the reader. He is awesome. The characters are immediately identifiable because of his consistent accents. His "special effects" (alien voices, explosions, gunfire, etc) are fantastic. His normal reading voice is calm and perfectly paced. He makes these good books great.
I truly can't decide what I like better; the story or the performance. This one had me a little worried at first in that it tells more of Earl's story and the wonderful world of werewolves but after the first two chapters I was totally buckled in and along for the ride!
Oliver Wyman really brings the characters to life. The voice of Nicolai was one of my favorites yet. Oh so Christopher Walken! I kept expecting him to turn to Earl and say, "I gotta have more cowbell"!
Great series and I hope Oliver decides to keep bringing these books to life.
I don't try write a review as if it were the only review a potential reader will see. I write things that I noticed.
When a newly "infected" werewolf gets really excited about the idea of being able to eat all the pie she wants withoutfear of gaining weight.
Great character voices overall, but not sure why the Russian werewolf sounds like Chistopher Walken. Picky point, and overall very enjoyable recording.
Currently a local truck driver who has hours to listen to my audio books. I am hooked, some of my fellow drivers enjoy them also
I enjoy the series and look forward to reading the rest, It is a great change of adventure
with a great set of charactors and plot twist
Not many others to compare it to it is kind of a unique adventure story with action and emotional ups and downs
He is a great reader I enjoy his many talents and look forward to listening to him again
Just when you thought you were safe
Hopefully Mr Correia will write more that just the four books and audible will carry them
Look forward to many more adventures
I really enjoyed the first two efforts in the Monster Hunter series. I wasn't sure of this one. Primarily because I wasn't as interested in Earl Harbinger as a character as I was Owen Pitt. And this story focuses on Earl.
I was a little put off at the start. Rather than being a first person narrative from Earl's perspective it jumps across many characters. And that was a radical difference for me. And across multiple time periods.
But it does to a very good job of filling in Earl's back story. From the time he became a werewolf. And also a bit on Owen's Dad. And once the story begins to roll it is really enjoyable.
One other little note. An old nemesis of Earl, the Russian werewolf Nikolai returns. Listen to Oliver Wyman's voice characterization very carefully. It develops into an excellent Christoper Walken impersonation.
Maybe it is because I love werewolf movies so much... I really liked this book. I really like the idea of it and I think it captured my imagination more than the other books in this series.
I'm a voracious audiobook listener, rarely found without my iPod.
This third book in the Monster Hunter International series is more of a spin-off, featuring Earl Harbinger. Earl is on vacation when he passes through a small town that happens to be under attack by a pack of Werewolves. True to the first couple books, this is also a lighthearted, fun story of monsters and heroes, but really can be a stand-alone story, separate from the MHI series. I actually think I may have liked this one best of all and I hope we see more of these spin off books digging into some of the monster “species.” If Larry Correia keeps writing, I'll keep listening...
At first I was upset that Correia wasn't using the full cast of characters, but soon forgot my worries. Excellent novel, highly recommend the series.
