I love to read, but I am time-limited. Audible allows me to keep up with all my favorite authors while on the hiking trail. Thanks, Audible!
Betsy is back with all of her pals. In this installment, Betsy is trying to save the world from herself. Unfortunately but not unexpectedly, she doesn???t actually get very far in her mission. As with all of her adventures, Betsy is extremely active, bitches about absolutely everything just because she can, and talks about shoes. At several points, Betsy even convinces herself that she has solved the coming apocalypse. In the end, we learn that shinny objects still easily distract Betsy. I love this series. In many ways, it is a modern reinvention of Moliere???s satirical commentary on the natural vapidity of society. Furthermore, Undead and Undermined is a fascinating and hilarious window into the id, and Nancy Wu does a great job bringing MaryJanice Davidson???s undead world to life.
this was my first time using this app and listening to audio books. I am a reader but lacked the time to sit and read. great experience listening to a book by my favorite author
Wow Bets! This one actually made me tear up! Just don't go getting all deep & phylosophical on us too often; it's scary! Good job Mary; I liked this one,. I liked it a lot.
The first few certainly were, but this one is getting a little like a favorite toy that you just get tired of.
same line of story, nothing new
She makes the story fun. Her valley girl interpretation is very entertaining
Betsy is just good fun to listen to, don't look for any deep understandings, just a good shoe sale.
The plot was based on time travel, which came off badly. I skipped to the end, just to end the torture.
I am not an author, just a reader, or listener in this case, I felt the time travel and the continual bitching of the character, which took up the whole book, not just 2 or 3 chapter, should have been avoided. Publisher pressuring for the next installment, probably resulted in this poor book 11
Nancy Wu did a wonderful job.
85% of this book.
How do I return it, and try book 12?
A school administrator and avid reader and listener of books. At least an hour of every day is spent in the car, and that's where the bulk of my listening is done. I tend to listen to books on "faster" mode so I can get through more books!
Ho and hum. Save yourself some time and money and stop by a bookstore to read the last chapter and epilogue. That will fill you in.
Whats to tell I am your avarage 30something, with kids, a husband, job and life. Besides that I drive a lot and love to listen to books instead of the radio. I will stay up until 3am in bed listening if the book is worth it, and I have also been known to return a couple of books that I could not get threw the first chapter. I am a bad speller so I apoligize for it now, but will be honest about my reviews.
How do you go from one of your fav series to not, make a book with nothing but fluff. I think the auther got tired of the characters and just made a book to make a quota. I loved this series it was not serious, funny the main character was sassy. But in this book she is whinny and not lovable at all. Credit not well spent.
No. The first book was ok, but i found the rest TRIED to be funny and failed. i gave the series (a lot of the books) a chance and it failed. If your looking for vampire romance/humor go for molly harper, WAAAAAAAY better stories and you get the added bonus of amanda ronconi reading it.
reading Lynsay Sands now, just finished the first book, already have the second. I like it.
hmmmm any scene with the devil is a good scene (she was the only funny character)
waste of time.
