too many to have just one
Bella - She has some sass!
My reaction was to immediately download the next book. Love the series, love the Narrator
Right up there at the top. I was astounded by this book. This was my first Jacqueline Frank book & my first time listening to Xe Sands as narrator and I hope that this partnership continues.
The story plot was not a typical paranormal/supernatural/immortal plot and JF’s imagination and thought that went into the creation of the demons’ elemental essences was nothing short of incredible.
Her narration and inflections for the different characters drew me into the conversations and I forgot that it was only one narrator. She did an excellent job.
I believe that when the demons were describing to Isabella what they were, their elemental lifeblood, was the most heartfelt and soulful part of the book.
I appreciated how JF continued to enhance Isabella’s personality and being. The story just continued to expand & intensify the world of the demons and other Nightwalkers.
I have alway enjoyed being read to, but when found audible it was a dream come true, love listening to books
In the top 10 books
noah was my favor character in this book. He was strong, sexy and just beautiful....
she was great...
This is a great listening book...
Yes, and I have 3 times.
Avengers Angel, Messengers Angel and Death Angel by Heather Killough-Walden. I love these books and I find Jacob along the same lines of interesting, fun and a very good read.
I love Bella and Jacob. Her voice was great and she does a great job sounding different with each of them. Your the Best.
Both! She has a great way of writing that made me really get into the book and forget myself. I could really see where her character was going and sometimes just get taken by suprise.
I can't wait to read the other Books by her.
Loving my life and hanging out with my four grandchildren!
This was a well written story line. I went in thinking that Jacob was an angel only to be surprised to find that he's really a demon although he is not cruel or evil. The stroy also makes you look at your thoughts on race relationships.
One of the most memorable moments for me happened when Jacob realizes he loves a human, which is forbidden. This is one of the area's that race came into play for me. "Race", as written in this story, had to do with being a demon, human, druid, angel, or necromacer. It was not about color it was more about ethnic genealogical lineage. This story, to me, was about taking the time to understand and accept another race. It made me think about understanding, and excepting those NOT like me.
Ms Sands did an excellent job on the different characters voices. It was very esay to follow and "see" each person introuduced to the story. Excellent Job!
Each time Jacob makes love to Isabell. The tenderness he shows when it is in his nature to be viscious and uncaring during the act of love making. I also liked the moment when Jacob realizes the women the other demon's have pursued were their one true mate.
Enjoyed the story very much. I have also placed an order for the rest of the audio books in this series and I'm looking forward to hearing each story!
I'm a fantasy book hoarder!! :-) I am a mother of two small beautful childeren and my books are my way of getting away for a little break!!!
Well love the book and cant wait for the nexted book!! But the narrator sounded alittle bored very so aftened and it was alittle distracting, but other than that the story line was interesting and the sex was great (I mean earth quacks) that is well earth shattering sex haha!! Great book!! Well reammended!!
noble, strong, loyal
As this is the first book in the series, what I liked most is the creation of this Nightwalker world. All of the characters were interesting.
It had been years since I first read this book and it was wonderful to re-experience the story via audible. I am once again hooked on this series. I love the twists and turns the story takes. It keeps me interested and I really enjoy learning about all the characters. It was nothing like what I expected…It was so much better.
Anyone who likes vampires, werewolves, and any other mythical creature will enjoy this incredible story. The plot has twists and turns you never see coming. I love how the author intertwines her characters of different species and sets up for coming books.
It's hard to pinpoint a particular moment in the book without giving too much away to a perspective reader.
She has a soothing voice that is a pleasure to listen to. She can change cadence and pitch for every character so you can visualize who is speaking without being told.
The romance was sweet at first but towards the end it became nauseating. Jacob was a little TOO into Isabella...after about the 124th time he crooned "my flower" and stroked her hair I hit the delete button. Although admittedly I'm not very "gushy" so if you like that sort of romance give it a try.
It was ok.
The back story of the demon culture was interesting. Maybe I'll give the next book in the series a try.
