It was a Good Listen... I am currently looking at more of Gregg's books...The reason I bought this book in the first place was Scott Brick... He is leading me to more authors then I would have tried on my own... He is a GREAT Narrator...
The plot kept me going... I drive a truck for 8.5 to 9 hrs a day so it's nice to listen to books that don't lull me to sleep... This book did NOT put me to sleep... I will buy more of Gregg's Books...
Please have Scott Brick read more of your books...Thanks for the Great listen...
Story was great. Kept me thinking.
The friend. Because of his hearing.
No I have not.
Nothing extreme but a good listen.
Mike's best friend Shep.
The first few chapters were a little slow, but I picked up midway through the book and it maintained a good level intensity after that.
A very believable storyline and great narratation. Kept me interested to the end without losing any sense of reality as sometimes happens in books.
You are hooked the minute the book starts. A great story. You will enjoy it.
Yes; he is one of my favorite readers. Sometimes I will read a book just because he is the reader.
There is not much more that I can add to what is already been said about this book.... I had trouble putting it down. Great read. Great story. It has you sitting on the edge of your chair as to what will happen next..... The write up sounded like it might be a good read, but I really didn't expect to be kept on the edge .
Oh, my goodness! The suspense was great! This book caused me to seek more by Gregg Hurwitz, and read by Scott Brick.
The surprising plot. I was guessing some kind governmental experiment gone bad affecting Mike and his family. I enjoyed Shep's character he was quietly funny, wry, and very matter of fact.
Yes but only when I was about a third of the way through the book. I almost stopped listening after the first couple of chapters but the reviews of the book had been good so I continued on.
The voice of the narrator was the weakest part of the book. It was grating, whiny (instead of angry), and annoying. I put my audio speed on 1.5 to take the edge off.
In the despair, anger, and frustration that the characters suffer in much of this book I loved the "not a hallmark moment" line. My only extreme reaction was the beginning of the book and being frustrated that I paid money to listen to bad narration.
Greg Hurwitz must think publishers pay by the word When I read a book I can skip over the "extras" but that's not an option with an audio book. I did bump up the speed of the reading just to get things moving. When I got to the scene when Dodge and William have Mike I increased the speed to 2.5 just to get past the never-ending scene.
Great author and a great narrator....loved the story and the narration.
Receieves the coveted Storm Seal of Approval!
You will not be disappointed.
thrilling, exciting, real
The story was so true to life. The characters were very believable.
The performance was easy to follow the different characters voices.
It made me want to cry.
I am going to get more of his books.
