I would recommend this book to my friends. It has a great story line and I love the comedy thrown in. I found myself laughing out loud on several occasions.
It kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next.
Favorite scene was when Stephanie put Morelli in the Freezer.
I have read all the Stephanie Plum books and have loved each one. I am in the process of going through them all again so I don't miss a thing.
Funny, challenging Wonderful
Where Stephanie was hand cuffed to shower rod
Hen Lula was beaten
Just read this book and you will be looking for the other 17 that follow
yes, because of the humor.
Been more excited and did the voices better.
It was a good entertaining story. Moved along quickly without a lot of boring detail, just enough to keep you interested.
One word: entertaining
The characters eccentricities.
I was a bit bored by CJ Critt's performance through the beginning of the novel. By the end I had grown accustomed to it. Perhaps even enjoyed it, by the end.
This is not the best book I have ever read; however, it did it's job and entertained me. I am going to continue to read this series. I have grown attached to the characters. I appreciate the entertainment value of this series. Also, cannot wait to see the movie!
Old as dirt and a picky reader
This is one of the few books that make a good repeat. It is like Home Alone. It stays funny.
Plum has to be the biggest 'successful' ditz I have ran into in fiction and life. Her cousin the bird lover is a second runner up.
I wish I could say I enjoyed Critt as much as I enjoy King's version but I don't. Critt is just not a Jersey girl. King makes her come to life and I have a hard time realizing all the characters of King are King. Critt on the other hand is always Critt. Critt doesn't have a bad reading voice but she lacks characterization. I have to really listen to hear who is talking because of the lack of characterization when a conversation is going on.
Well worth the listen even if it isn't King.
Absolutely! This book was Great. Kept me wanting more. I loved the author's writing style. Uses just the right description, without having to ramble with lots of words.
Hilarious. Someone's down on their luck, and you don't know it becuase of all the lucky breaks. The story had such a perfect timing as far as humor goes.
The grandmother. CJ Critt, has an older sound to her voice so the most convincing is the older character. I kinda expected Stephanie to sound younger- that's why to four stars.
YES! I tried, but started during a commute, and wished my drive was longer.
I've listened to Sookie series, Twilight series, Harper Connelly series, and have been looking for something else. I have even listend to the Help and other books- looking for another great book or series. This is a great choice. I liked the author's since of humor, writing style. I am hooked, and have even decided to buy the next book since I'm out of credits. I know it will be worth both money and credits.
I enjoy listening to the Plum Story's... I think it's one of Janet Evanoviche's good ones!!
Janey Evanovich always keeps you on the edge! Always exciting! She makes you want to hear the hole story and the following stories!
SORRY DO NOT LIKE C. J. Critt Reading's! The voice is not right for the Plum Stories or any of the characters! C. J. Critt is very hard to listen to! Matter a fact I hadn't even down loaded One For The Money till I saw the Pre view's for the Movie because of the Voice doing the Reading just is not enjoyable! I like the other Narreader better better voice for the Characters and more enjoyable. I enjoy Lorelei King voice doing the Characters the voice is enjoyable to listen to! Matter a fact One For The Money is the Book I have down loaded with C. J. Critt Narreading... The only reason I have down loaded it was because of the NEW Movie coming out January 27th 2012 ! Don't know if I will down load the others Narreaded by C. J. Critt
Have many Janet Evanovich books, and my least favorites are the ones performed by CJ Critt. I Love the ones performed by Lorelei King.
Janet Evanovich is rocking a new series! And C.J. Critt brings the New Jersey attitude to life! These books will have you laughing out loud, which, if you're listening on ear buds, can make people look up in askance! Not to worry, it's worth it!
Yes. Good humor and interesting plot. The narrator was pretty good at the voices and that made listening very enjoyable.
