"Grabbed me from chapter one"
I loved the ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances. And Critt's narration was superb.
When the lead character was cornered in the gym was a memorable moment for its tension.
So many great scenes it's difficult to be selective.
It was not so much a moving novel. More a wonderful mix of tension and hilarity.
"Good Listen"
The dinner scene when grandma shoots off the gun.
This is my first time listening to on of CJ Critt's performances. Would definitely choose another book with her as the reader.
I'm sure I looked a little odd to passers-by when I was in my car alone laughing hysterically.
The story was funny and the reader kept me wanting to hear more about the day-to-day experiences of Stephanie Plum. It was like listening to an old friend tell you about her day.
"Funny!!"
Absolutely would love to read another book by Janet Evanovich. The character is so flawed and realistic. It was fun to read about the way people live in the east.
Well the heroine of course. Absolutely hysterical.
Probably would not be nearly as funny as a movie and it would be capitalized on for the sexual components - whereas in the book - they are a sprinkle of spice!
I am just discovering audio books -- I didn't think I would like them as much as I do!
"FANTASTIC NARRATION!!"
It was wonderful listening to the different characters -- they were all unique with just enough of a New Jersey accent to make them come alive, but not too much to be annoying. I've read the books & saw the movie, but I really enjoyed listening and can't wait to get the rest of the series.
"Great Fun"
I would recommend this book for lighthearted entertainment. Stephanie Plum has a terrific attitude and a good sense of humor.
I really enjoyed the combination of a mystery and the amusing characters that populate her life.
I've never heard the narrator before but I thought her 'voice' for the characters was outstanding.
"Not as good as Sue Grafton"
The story is ok but a little unbelieveable.
Probably because I have heard good reviews about her and this was just the first book.
clear, funny in a good way,
No
"Fun for the money"
This book was funny and held my attention right up to the end.
When grandma shot a loaded gun at the dinner table.
Each character had a different voice.
Made me laugh.
"i loved it ,yes"
hummor, story line, and relatationship with joe and ranger.

"Not my type of story"
No...too graphic. For a

Just not my style. I'll look to other authors for this genre.

"Totally hooked!"
Absolutely, if nothing else, for the laughs! Recommended by a friend and now I can't stop!
Gradma Massur- she's my hero
the voice of Ranger - my mother would call it a
