The narrator needs to speak a bit faster. Once I increased the rate of speech I noticed that there are a lot of stops and starts. It's not smooth.
I like Angela's voice but she definitely needs to speak faster.
Nice to be with the wolves rather than the cats for this one; nice to have two strong main characters.
Judd saving a life using his unique skills.
Nice, smooth narration; great voice.
Both are amazing!!
Judd Lauren <3
Yes, if I could have I would have
NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 3/4
Just when I think that Vaughn is my favorite Judd Lauren walks into my life. All tall, dark, cool and oh my goodness yummy!!!! I totally loved everything about Judd and Brenna’s story. These two are so beyond perfect together. I am so glad that Brenna never gave up on Judd. :)
This story had a lot of ups and downs that at times I wondered how Nalini was going to pull it all off. But being the amazing story teller that she is Nalini made everything perfect.
Again another amazing story from Nalini and another amazing reading by Angela! These two are an amazing pair. I am already on to the next audio book in this series and as long as Nalini keeps turn out amazing stories and Angela narrates them I will keep going on audio in this series.
I purchased this book from Audible and this review is my own opinion and not a paid review.
Ok so I know I'm only 3 books in but this is easily my favorite so far in the series. I thought the build-up of the relationship between Brenna & Judd was very believable and touching and I found myself completely engrossed. The other bigger events taking place in this world added to the story but still left the romance center stage. Knowing myself as well as I do, I am certain I'll be listening to this one again once I finish the entire series!!!
I love the strength of the heroine and the hero. They are indeed well matched.
I am a big fan of Judd. He knows he is strong but doesn't try to assert himself and tries to just stay in the shadows. Yet do not test him because he will deal with you swiftly if he chooses.
She did all the characters very well. You will be able to distinguish each character which is appreciated.
Yes, and I've listened to it several times.
Judd is a strong character, he is anti-social but you will love this man because at least you know when he does talk he actually makes sense. Breanna is a strong young lady who is a survivor but knows that she needs someone to lean on and she doesn't waste any time making that clear. You'll see characters from previously stories if you've listened to the first couple of books. As previously recommended try to listen to them in order. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.
I liked the way this book slowly built up the romance. The characters were well developed and it was nice to see the characters from the previous book play a part in this one, even though this one dealt with a different pack. I like the varieties in the different forms of psy abilities and it was interesting to learn a bit more about the conditioning done with silence. I'm looking forward to listening to the next book. Angela Dawe as the narrator was very good.
This is one of the stories I can listen to again and again. This story is about being brave and fighting to come back from a horrible trauma. Judd is Psy and Brenna is a changling, they learn how to love each other.
I am married with a teenage son and run my own business. As I am visually impaired, audio books are my life.
I've listened to most of Nalini Singhs novels and have always enjoyed them, however this one was the worst one of hers I've come across. So much so that I couldn't finish the novel. Give it a miss
I bought this book about 2 months ago and I've already listened to it 3 times. Judd and Brenna are so lovable, and the cast of supporting characters just makes the story even richer and more memorable.
I love Judd! His internal struggle is so real, despite the fact that it's obvious he's done for from the first chapter. As for Brenna--I usually really really dislike characters recovering from trauma. Their noisy hystrionics usually set my teeth on edge. But her sense of humor, and sense of self worth, show clearly even in her darkest moments. Each time I see them in other books from the series it makes me smile and want to read even more of their story.
As always, her narration brings the character's even more to life. She does a great job with Judd in particular.
I love the scene in the woods at the end. I can't say more without giving things away... Also, the scene with Marley and the ball. Delightful.
Yes, this book has it all: suspense, action, romance, danger...what more do you want?!
When Brenna finally gets to shift again.
Realistic character shifts
