I enjoyed the author's straight forward style and honesty. I appreciated that he shared some of his failures and mistakes as well as his successes.
The author's narration I found a bit too laid back, and his view a bit Utopian, but that mindset was a critical part of his success.
A short easy read that is well worth it. You will definitely pick up some good stuff.
passionate reader & writer
Sivers reminds you that even very successful business people make big mistakes and inspires you to go easy yourself. A failure is not a failure. It's a discovery of yet another way things don't work.
This is a great reminder to follow your heart and do what you know is right in business and in life. Derek's story is a success story of following these principles and trusting yourself to do what you know is right and what you want to do versus following what everyone else is doing.
Some great, honest advice. Forthcoming about his successes and mistakes. Worth the purchase price even though short because you will definitely listen again.
You must have the fire first in order to gain from this book. It's not a step by step how to, but is meant to take your questions and concerns and learn from the authors experience. It's great advice, and has helped give me confidence to continue on my path of starting my own business.
This has been the best book I've read/listened in a long time. It goes to prove that you don't have to have a 500-page book in order to impact sombody. This is short, precise and full of values. Kudos to Derek Sivers. I don't know him before reading this book, but after reading, I'm officially a fangirl! Will surely make time to know more about him! He's pure genius!
