If you're looking for a fast-paced book, this isn't it; but if you like the idea of a lengthy, meandering tale that would be told by the fire, this is a great one.
I had already read and listened to American Gods twice before I picked up the 10th anniversary audible version. The casted voices of this version were great and added a lot more to the whole presentation of the story. I highly recommend it and will look forward to listening to it again in the future.
I absolutely loved this book. I especially enjoyed the stories within the story. I usually listen while I work and with this book I kept wishing my work day was longer.
This was such a captivating story and production. Listening was like going to the theatre every time I plugged in. I found myself sitting in my car long after I arrived at my destination just to finish a chapter. I loved the whole crazy adventure and will undoubtedly listen again when I start to miss Shadow and the rest.
what a great story. Gaiman is brilliant and all of the individual performances were great. it was so easy to lose yourself in the whole experience.
I loved everything about this audiobook!
When I started listening to this, I was all for novels only, but my world changed drastically when I plunged into this story. The performances were impeccable and outstanding to listen with my family, relaxing and engaging, simultaneously. The experience I had as a whole changed me for the better.
It even healed some wounds I thought I wouldn't be able to recover from.
Much love and happiness on the wayward turns within the artistic meandering of Story.
