The Bedtime Story. When you have had a little too much of the kids this short story is just what you need to release your frustrations. This is a very short audio but Samuel L. Jackson is pitch perfect and delivers the "f" word like few can.
Never for children!!!
I liked that I could relate to it. I have felt like that before when my kids were little and wouldn't go to sleep. I thought the story would be funnier though.
I didn't really have one.
The title caught my eye, and the preview captured my interest, however after listening, all enjoyment can be gained through the preview. For such a short book, it gets old quick. It's one joke being told multiple ways multiple times, and I found myself as it went thinking okay yeah I get it already. Funny concept, but I wouldn't spend the small price again.
this book is great and Samuel did it justice when i listen to it, it reminds me of the nightly routine i have with my two year old.,amazing story for parents who lives in the real world
I had 2 babies and the words Go the F--K to sleep never, never entered my mind. My second baby woke and screamed every 2 hrs for the first year and I was pretty darned tired but I never even thought to think let alone speak those words. That is my only complaint really. It's a baby! For me, I cringed every time I heard Sam say them. I may be too sensitive where babies are concerned but I feel the author could have chosen a different expression. It was too much for me and I did not enjoy it. At the same time I could very well understand the frustration. That is real! Sorry, I just could not get past cussing at a baby even if the words were not actually said aloud.
Express the same sentiments in a different way. Letting go of the word F--K.
All really. Sam did a good performance. It was the writing I hated.
I think every parent has been through the feelings expressed in this book. We just don't like to admit it in public. Samuel L. Jackson does a spectacular job of presenting the entire range of emotions that a poor overworked, underrested, but loving parent goes through.
Samuel L. Jackson
His voice. It was just like reliving raising my sons. Mind you I thought of saying what he was saying. I omitted a word or two.
Funniest & truest book ever
I Luv Audible!!
This book is good!! Narrated by Samuel L Jackson it speaks true to how many of us as parents feel when we have to read sleepy time stories every night to our kids. I laughed continuously.!!!!!!!!!!!
The Author Adam Mansbach never a better thing than to write this book, Samuel L Jackson did a great job with the narration even though it is not recommended to play this book for the kids it is a great way for us parents to get a good laugh...lol there are times when I wish I could tell my 2 Yr old to "Go The F*ck to Sleep" Great Book for a great laugh.
