I enjoyed this audio version and I think the narrator did a splendid job of differentiating the voices. The book is a classic because the story is engaging, well written, and would be enjoyable for children as well as adults. Because the language is difficult the audio may be preferable to reading.
Not this version
My daughter said that she strongly disliked the narrator. She wouldn't listen to this version.
I love The Secret Garden. It's a long-time favorite of mine. The narrator gave an ok performance. It wasn't poor enough to make me stop reading, but I felt she was missing the emotion behind the words.
The story the Secret Garden was well done. A story for all ages. I greatly enjoys it. The narrater did a great job on the characters voices. I highly recommend it.
My daughters love the story. They Didn't want to stop listening to it. Great ending. It left us having great discussions about character and seeing things differently. A reference to go back to.
I loved the part when Mary and Collin were fighting.
The narrator was to the core and interesting. Aweeeeesomeeeeeeeee
Burnett yes, McGee no.
I have loved this story since childhood!
Almost anyone. The narration is what I could not handle. Mostly her repetitive emphasis style.
The novel it self is AMAZING. One of my favorite stories of all time. I wanted to listen to it over the holiday, but couldn't get past the narration.
