This is probably the best story since the first one the mill two aren't so good but I understand why he needed to put those in I would say the only downside to this audiobook is the performance umm..... Tell me why the guy reading it makes Jack a sound stupid fucking gay and he's a little bit over-the-top with the sound effects but if you can get over that like I did it's an amazing story
Loved this book. As do all his books, he pulls you into the story right from the beginning. Loved the colorful characters and how well they were brought to life. The narrator did a great job giving each character a voice that gave their personality life. Definitely would recommend the series to others. I have never come across a Koontz book I didn't like.
Dean Koontz always produces engrossing stories and the Frankenstein series was as good as any of them. Christopher Lane does a great job with the different voices for the different characters.
Good series but it kind of dragged on and the end needed more sizzle. Five books later us readers deserved a better final fight with victor. I like the happily ever afters with all the characters. My only question is (spoiler)
why did Erica survive?
Absolutely! However I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series to better understand the progression of the story.
There were so many "memorable moments" that i wouldn't be able to pinpoint one. Each character has their own memorable moments.
Christopher Lane is so good at the individual voices of the characters that you feel as if these characters are real and interacting with each other. It adds a depth that just reading the story doesn't give to it.
Town of Unlikely Heroes
I loved the first 3 books in the series and was sorry when it ended. The characters are so funny, so lovable, and so uniques (and also so creepy for the villains). I hadn't realized until recently the Dean Koontz had written two more books in the series and was delighted to continue the story. I didn't feel the consternation that other reviewers had at the ending of book four, because I was able to segue right into Book Five. I liked these even better than the first 3! My favorite Dean Koontz books are the ones that mix humor, unique and quirky characters, along with the suspense. I laughed out loud, a lot with all the books in the series and enjoyed the addition of new quirky characters.I think this is probably the first time I've gone through a series and wanted to turn around at the end and start listening from the beginning again. They're that good!
I have had this series for a while now and I have replayed the entire series 3 times now. It is my top recommended story series when books are brought up!!! My whish I that this is made into a TV series on one of the cable channels, HBO Showtime ect...
Love it all
Just great story telling.
The main character..
SOMEBODY MAKE THIS INTO A PAID TV SERIES. OR EVEN BETTER NETFLIX NEEDS TO SNATCH THIS UP.
