Yes and I have. I have listened to it probably 3 times already. Why? I thoroughly enjoy the narrator and his nuances throughout the book.
The training element that Mr. Wasdin went through. Also the end of the book when he talks about how selfish he had been through his life and alienated not only his wife, but his children and others who loved him.
He made it sound just like it was Mr. Wasdin himself telling the story.
Both. There are parts that you laugh at his humor, but cry when he is injured and has to be transported for medical care and then eventually back to the states. One could feel how much he enjoyed being a part of
I would highly recommend this book for listening or reading. The listening experience is so much more poignant though.
This book speaks of what it is to be a Navy Seal on their elite team. It's told by someone who rose to the top and had to retire and go on to a second career due to injuries. Very heartfelt book. Enjoyed it very much.
Excellent! It gives you new appreciation for what our armed forces sacrifice. The book is fast paced, interesting and informative. The narrator put you in the story. Even if we don't agree with the war, we have to appreciate the warriors!
Ray Porter does a fantastic job of bringing the story to life. Amazing story of sacrifice and accomplishment.
This story of how a man's very tough childhood leads to becoming a Seal and what happens to him in the Seals and afterward was both fascinating and unexpected in so many ways for me. It made me want to thank all the ones who served, past and present. The timing of the book was also so appropriate with the recent events. Simply put it is a great story.
I found this story to be interesting, informative, and exciting. I hope Wasdin writes another book soon.
Mr. Wasdin tells it like it really is to become a seal. When you read this book, you'll really know what tough is, and why only a few make it. They are our county's best and this book explains why.
You won't be disappointed with this book and the story it tells!!
Timing is perfect for this book. Great insight into the making of and life as a seal. Surprising detail and opinion. Nothing astoundingly new or over the top, but fans of the genre will enjoy.
A must listen!!! Thanks to all our men and women for their great service to our country!
