It was a great read and real page turner. I would recommend it to anyone.
This book actually helps you to understand what was going on with the CIA before they found & recruited Mitch Rapp.
It is frightening that a writer of this stature would think that this is the way to change our government.
There are too many crazies that may follow this example
The reader was excellent
I see this book as being a guide to idiots who think that they can change things by killing people
OMG! I have listened to all the Flynn novels and this is his best. It so hits home with our current politicle situation.
I wish this story line could be played out in DC today. It's what our country needs.
I have read many Vince Flynn's book in the Mitch Rapp series and this was the first in that series. I have enjoyed them and this was no different. It was spellbinding and generated a lot of discussion.
Yes and I have.
He did not
None they were integral.
Over the road truck Driver listen to books to make the miles go by.
This is a timely book and addresses most of the issues that confront us today. Though most of us would find the path these people take to be harsh and brutal; after consideration you will grow to accept it and wish for such people among us.
The story is one virtually every American can relate to: Government is out of control; behaving irresponsibly; and has totally lost touch with the people and the best interests of the nation. What to do?
What follows is a sort of vicariously satisfying fantasy about revenge, and setting it all straight. Most tomes of this genre get a little far fetched and hard to swallow. I felt that Flynn did a solid job of maintaining the right mix of "what if" plausibility with an interesting story. There's plenty of accuracy in the details concerning things like covert surveillance, technology, special ops, etc. - enough to satisfy geek aficionados of Clancy without boring the rest with 200+ pages of excruciating detail.
This may be the only Flynn book I ever read, since he seems fond of "star" characters that reappear over-and-over again in all his novels. This is not one of those (I really hate it when authors do that). I originally got the abridged version of this book since at the time, that's all that was available. For those that may have done the same, get this one - it's worth the credit and delivers a much richer story in the unabridged form.
The narrator did a solid job and was quite listenable. This one will keep you guessing and engaged.
It's one of the number one books I have read. Including this one I now have three at number one now. And I read and listen to a great deal of books.
Yes it did! I kept pulling for the bad guys and was actually yelling at the bad guys while listening in my car. It's one of the few that have made me drive slower so I could find out what happened next. Listening to this one I was traveling in the right lane on the Interstates, unheard for me.
He voiced all of the characters exactly like I pictured them. I know I listen to some books and the narrator doesn't put the right voice to the characters and I end up stopping a good plot because my picture of them is totally distorted. NOT ON THIS ONE!
Made me cheer! It also made me mad as heck....the government characters are exactly like I think our Senators and Congressman are destroying the current and future freedom and rights of the American people. This is truly a "Current Events" fiction.
Everyone should read this book! Including the current elected officials. Scare the pants off them for sure!
This audio edition had some mistakes and skipping and editing problems.
Yes. Kept wondering who would die next and how it would come to an end
