Love Horror and Sci-Fi. I enjoy historical romance
I would listen to Choir Director again because I have run across characters in my own church portrayed in the book. It is funny, it has heart. It shows faith in what's good.
I love to read! I love many genres.
I found this author's writing style to be kind of boring. I wish it was more robust and descriptive. Maybe that is just my preference.
The end was an excellent ending. I don't want to give it away.
This was the craziest book. At first I thought I was going to hate this book but it really drew me in. The author's writing style is so laid back that at first I was done with the book but his development of the story was great. I feel so many different ways about this book. I know this review is nuts but if you have patience it is a good read.

Fast, Funny, Naughty
The first thing one hears when listning to this book is something about it being written for an African American audience, and I'm as white as they come. The first thing I learned as I went forward was that this book is for everyone, and it offered me a glimpse into African American life in America without resorting to over-blown stereotypes.Add to that the fact that this book is really well written, and the storyline is tight, and you have all the ingredients for a darned good yarn, be you black, white, or blue!
The narrator did a great job of differentiating each character with a voice all their own. I've no idea how people can keep track of such things when narrating, but this guy was superb.
Life in America
A light and fluffy story, with some humor and a little suspense. Sex is an undercurrent driving a lot of the story, and I found a lot of the dialog around sex repetitive and unrealistic. At least I hope not too many people talk about it like these characters do. I thought the ensemble approach worked pretty well and the actors did well.
Remove all sex events.
Kept the basic story line, remove all sexual events. Much too graphic for a story with a title referring to church.
Yes. There were several narrators
The cleaner story line was very good.
Clean it up, way too much sex.
I thought it was an interesting storyline with relatable characters.
The twists and turns
I loved the narrater's, they really made the story come to life.
Well Aaron of course.
i agree with some of the other reviewers that true men and women of God would not likely behave this way, especially a first lady. However we all know church people be the shadiest ones sometimes so I don't think the story is that far fetched. It 's a good listen no more no less.
Hi my name is Bianca and I am a avid reader. I love all types of genres and read all the time. I am a book worm and always will be one.
Greed, betrayal, and psycos
This book reminds me of Kimberla Lawson Robey's reverend Curtis Black series because it has greed, betrayal, and some people with some twisted minds.
They bring the drama to life.
The church scandal
Wonderful book very entertaining. Kept me entertained throughout the entire book. Always a pleasure reading Carl Weber. Can't wait for the next novel.
