Once again, another home run!!! Love the character development, story, and all the new characters!!! Will definitely be listening the 3rd installment!!!
This series is very interesting and I am enjoying it very much. I have one small problem with the narrators though. I feel like the guy is not very good at doing accents and Sadie's narrator sounds annoying when she's talking as Sadie. I think Carter's normal voice is great but when he speaks as Sadie or Zia the accent is all wrong! On the other hand I feel like Sadie's normal voice is too shrilly and then all the other characters she reads as sound great! I don't dislike them, I just find it to be an odd quirk about how I feel towards these audiobooks. If I was reading the book myself I would truly enjoy the story.
I like this book because of saidie。I think that she is sassy, and "brilliant" as she might say. That, coming out of me, a eight year old girl (no I did not have help with this paragraph ) has to be true. Rick Riordan is my favorite author and was hinting about my favorite series , Percy Jackson and the Olympians when he said carter saw a flying horse. I assume it was black jack, but it could have been some one else.
AWESOME I loved this book. The characters developed well, and it captured and portrayed the sibling rivalry to a tee, so to speak.
Any of the other Rick Riordan books. Especially like the Percy Jackson series. Riordan's characters are entertaining and the way he builds his suspense is really enjoyable.
Saddie Kane was the absolute best thing ever! Bast(?) the cat was also wonderfully voiced.
Worth the time and the price, very entertaining.
I would totally recommend this book to any of my friends I started with the Percy Jackson series then my cousin who has read all of Rick Riordan's book recommended this Kane Chronicles. I have not regretted getting this book or the last I love listening to these books!
This book is history masquerading as a fun, fast-paced story. My kids loved this book because the story was fun and exciting, but the author mixed in so much Egyptian history and mythology that my kids really learned something. It's certainly not a textbook, but it made the topic fun and has inspired my kids to learn more about Ancient Egypt.
I should add that the narration was suburb. Both were good, but Katherine Kellgren was outstanding--she brings Sadie to life.
I was crying when they found out what had happened to Bess. But overall I loved the book I'm so sad that there's only one book left.
