Narrated by George Guidall, twelve hours of listening.
A beautiful young doctor is the center character of Harvest. Abby is a talented doctor who succumbs to the lure of the ‘transplant team’ of her hospital. It doesn’t take long for Tess Gerritsen to embroil the reader in a terrific plot along the lines of Robin Cook’s Coma. Organs are being harvested in a manner that will chill the reader to the bone!
George Guidall, it goes without saying, is absolutely brilliant.
If you like medical thrillers, you’ll love this story. Enjoy!
Enjoying one good listen after the next!
What starts out as a very plausible story line devolves into a rather unimaginable plot. . . but then, isn't that what fiction can/should be? Truthfully, I'd be engaged with any book read by George Guidall. . . love his voice, inflections and perfected pausing and pacing. A believable medical mystery it is not. But a fun listen, it is.
This was my first Tess Gerritsen novel. And I loved it! I am a nurse and the details are accurate without going into too much depth so it stayed interesting. I was afraid it might get too gruesome, but she takes you to the edge without going too far. The character development is great and the narrator excellent. You can really visualize what is happening.
I wasn't thrilled with the narration. Also, if you have a medical background, you will find yourself questioning all sorts of medical decisions, practices and procedures. Good book for a layperson.
I usually like Tess Gerritsen books but I couldn't get through this one. I guess I see it as a manufactured thriller with pointless twists.
No. Maybe this one did not resound with me.
George Guidall is my favorite narrator. I chose this book because he was narrating it.
It seemed like it could be real.
Could this happen to you??
Very interesting and suspenseful. Great story.
Kept me listening
The rapid pace of the story
He's the best narrator you have - I can really "feel" the characters he narrates.
This was a really good medical thriller with characters you could relate ot.
Really enjoyed the story and the performer, just wish the space between chapters wasn't so long, but understandable sense it's older then most. But Overall I loved it and plan on listening to more by this writer.
Middle of the road, not the best, but far from the worst.
The main character, she showed grit and determination, albeit there were times when she did get a bit out of control, crossed lines most wouldn't. Made you think either she was really bold or really stupid.
The voice range, did males and females pretty good.
