The character in this book is nothing like the TV show. Maybe if you had a different narrator, it might be better.
Another narrator would help. I could hear too much mouth/saliva motion, smacks and swallows. Narrator sounds impatient to be done.
I would try another one, but they are much, much to jammed with Tempe's internal dialog and way, way too much French accent and French words.
Either better recording with more sound suppression. You can hear the saliva in the woman's mouth.
I like mysteries and thrillers, but this was just awful. Way too graphic and gory. I won't be listening to any more Kathy Reichs.
Ms. Rosenblat was the perfect narrator for the story. She became Ms. Reichs. I can't wait to listen to the next story, and I think I even prefer Reichs to her television "double", Bones.
My opinion: this book should not be narrated or maybe it was just me or the narrator, but I did not hear half the story. I think if I read the book I might have enjoyed it.
Yes, the story is well written and the reader does an amazing job of making you feel like you are really hearing Tempe's thoughts!
The fight scene in the kitchen, I was able to visualize the scene as it was read.
Yes but unfortunately I couldn't
I have no time to read - audio is it for me these days!
Relief - once the story did pick up - it was WAY TOO INTENSE. I had to put it down for 2 days at a time to relax. But it was a good book... but not my favorite TV show BONES. Don't think I'll do another - can't take the pressure..
She did a good job!
INTENSE - STRESS OUT! But it was a great book - if you can get past the first 5-6 boring chapters.
Greatly enjoyed this book, especially liked that the characters are different from the television series.
It's well written. The author knows what she is writing about and it makes it more enjoyable. I did not have any issues with the audio like I read about in previous reviews.
The narrator sounds like there is a bullit at the start of every sentence and an excalamation mark at the end of most.
I wish I had read the reviews, what a waste.
