Hooray for this duo! Good to see the girls back and in great form. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Reality can be a draining experience. Interspersed with fun, laughter and friends make story real. The mother should have received probation. Serving time is for mean despicable and disrespecting individuals not mother's protecting their children. Thank you for your stories of entertainment and revelation.
Liked the book all the way up until right before the end. Not a great ending to one of the cases. What was James Patterson thinking... sigh
I just thought of how to describe it… It's like a new author took over writing the story. And to prepare for this, he or she merely consulted Shmoops or Cliff Notes to learn about the characters. Each one of these characters, at least the ones that appear regularly, was very different in this book. Lindsay most of all. If the book didn't say "women's murder club" on it, I would never recognize her.
I read all the negative reviews before hand, and just assumed those who gave it a bad review either didn't love the series or were too picky. I couldn't imagine just giving up on the series and letting these characters go. However, that's what I am going to have to do. I really couldn't wait for the book to end. The cases are disjointed and there's no commonality to them. There are number of awkward moments that feel like somehow you fast-forwarded and missed a chunk.
I don't know… Maybe if you never read any of the series before, maybe this would be a decent book. But for those of us who have followed it since the beginning, this was a terrible disappointment.
I like crime novels and found this one enjoyable. my Dad loves James Patterson books and is also a crime novel fan.
