Although it was written towards a YA audience it was a heartwarming well told story. Where She Went covers a 24 hour period of time using flash backs to explain the background. It is the sequel to If I Stay but I believe you could read this independently as enough information on the prior story is shared.
I am not normally a fan of the flashback novel but this author doesn't spend too much time in each memory allowing for the present day to progress at a decent pace. I found myself wishing the story wouldn't end.
This is my first experience with this narartor and enjoyed his performance of the book.
This was an amazing book, I can't wait to see the movie, because when I saw if I stay, I just couldn't wait to read it and now since I'm done can't wait to see the movie. Overall an Amazing book!
If book one of If I Stay broke your heart as much as it did mine and left you with WAY too many questions, please do yourself a favor & don't give up on this series or storyline!
Listen to Where She Went IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE END OF If I Stay if you can & don't wait for years like I did.
This was easily the best sequel (and most necessary) I have read in ages, if not ever. The emotions were as raw, the music still heard in my head, the characters/family/friends so lovable and respectable yet flawed, talented and real.
I don't want to give anything away plot wise, but I truly adore these characters & hope a book three comes out soon!
Also, the narrator is SO skilled & perfect for this book! I swear every word out of his mouth sounds like music/verse & I am inspired to look up more of his books ♡
I loved the lyrics at the beginning of chapters and they made me so happy at the end, back together at the start of a new beginning it was all so wonderful.
