I really love the story line and how each of the characters continue to develop throughout the other stories. I listen in the car, on walks and even while cleaning. I can't wait to see who falls in love next. While I do wait, I am listening to them all over again...
The only draw back I have witnessed from the Audio books is the fact that the narrators change with every single book. The biggest frustrations come during the later books in the series pronounce the names differently than the earlier books and the accents are all off. A single narrator for the entire series would be preferred.
Loved it, Loved it, Loved it. This story took me in and kept me wanting more. Another enjoyable audible in the series which brings some other immortal characters to the Love at Stake series. I laughed alot too, and it's always fun when characters from the other series are involved, it's like a mini series.
Loved the characters, the story, the setting. First of Kerrelyn Sparks books I have read, but not the last. Added her entire library to my wish list.
OF ALL THE BOOKS I HAVE READ AND LISTENED TO, THIS IS THE BEST BY FAR. I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS BOOK TO EVERYBODY. THANK YOU KERRELYN FOR SUCH WONDERFUL WIT. I AM LISTENING TO THIS ONE AGAIN FOR THE FIFTH TIME. FANTASTIC BOOK. PLEASE WRITE MORE LIKE THIS ONE. CHARM, ROMANCE, DESIRE, LOVE, WIT, PULLS AT YOUR HEART STRINGS AND MAKES YOU LAUGH AS WELL. OK....THE FUNNY PARTS WILL MAKE YOU HURT FROM LAUGHING SO HARD. WONDERFUL. THIS BOOK NEEDS A CAUTION LABEL ON IT. "DO NOT EAT, DRINK, OR DRIVE WHILE LISTENING TO THIS AUDIOBOOK. MAY CAUSE YOU TO CHOKE, SPIT OUT YOUR DRINK ON SOMEONE OR TEAR UP WHILE DRIVING, FROM HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER." NO JOKE. VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS AUDIOBOOK. A MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I rarely say I HATE something, but this book, I HATE. I was delighted when I found Kerrelyn Sparks "Love at Stake" series was made into audiobooks, and there were even a few I had not read. I was even happier to find that Connor was the subject of one of the books. I was a little concerned when I read the summary, but decided to buy when I read the glowing reviews. After listening (suffering) through half an hour, I deleted every trace of this book from my computer. The thought of an angel in the predicament described in the book, calling out "Glory to God," and the descriptions of her "nipples pebbling" was nothing less than stomach churning terrible/wrong/yucky. I SHOULD have listened to the sample, but I never expected this. If the sacrilege wasn't bad enough, the narrator makes it even worse. She is very good at providing the angel's voice, which makes it less funny and more real (weird, I know). This book made me feel like the time I walked in on a friend's dad using the bathroom.
