I found the archaeological evidence used to support the hypothesis interesting and, some of it was quite new to me.
This was my first experience with Kirby Heybornes work.
A little difficult to follow at times, but overall, very interesting.
It was non-fiction.
No characters, it was non-fiction
This is in my top 10 books on understanding this new transition our world is going through!!
This book tells you a great deal about our ancestors in space....and about how we preceive the folk lore we were taught as a child; roman and greek mythology...is it really mythology or was it all real?
Great listen especially if you are on a journey to expand your mind!
Loved this. Not religious myself except for the forced feelings that get shoved on you since childhood, so really enjoyed the facts that were given and less of the one mindedness of religions. Stiring thoughts and if we are to be revisited, I for one will feel that it would be a way over due wake up call to so many people blinded by a man's word.
I have an undergraduate degree in philosophy and a Master's Degree in Professional Writing from Maharishi University of Management, am author of THE RELUCTANT VEGETARIAN COOKBOOK, and am an avid reader/listener.
Even though the reader, Daniken's feisty certainty still comes though. How has he managed to persist in facing all the criticisms? Obviously because his findings, while often perhaps more theory than proven fact, nonetheless still carry serious weight to those who are able to open their minds enough to appreciate the obvious--if wholly different--viewpoint than most accept as true. But the tide is definitely turning. More and more, the meme is being accepted that history we learned in school and conventional church is wrong.I hope that, before he dies, he gets the credit he deserves for his pioneering work.
Love to listen to books all the time since I'm disabled & sit around all day. Mostly LUV zombie books ~ anything w blood & guts & guns!
I think I rank this book the same as others I've read. I found it interesting.
There are no separate characters.
I wasn't that impressed with the narration..I wish Erich could have narrated himself.
no I just thought it was interesting
I'm working my way though all of Erich's books...I find the concepts very interesting..Yes U could say I'm a believer.
I read "Chariots of the Gods" when it was first published. That book was ground-breaking and paradigm-changing. If the author spent less time in the preface of this book bragging about what he had written before and more time setting up the sparse new material and the rehash of decades-old hypotheses, I may have had a more receptive attitude. As it was, I found that his dismissal of current interpretations that correct the early-twentieth-century errors ludicrous. Sorry that an investigative author with such promise has fallen to the standards of tabloids and talk radio.
common talking head
I wouldn't have published it, other than to make money to save the jobs of the employees of my publishing house.
Pause for thought!
How Eric logically put together his theories.
I just don't understand why the "intellectuals" in this world have to stick their heads in the sand and glibly look for solutions that fit their microcosmic Humans in a box theories. This evidence is as plain as the sun shines bright.
