Yes. It deals with issues that could be considered current issues.
I love all the Virgin River characters but Jack and Mel are my favorites.
Hard to tell. I do love the descriptions of the beauty of the scenery.
No extreme reactions--just lots of touching moments.
This series always makes me realize how wonderful life can be when people work together.
Good except Colin
I do not know any of the narrators. However I do know if I am supposed to be falling in love with a hot man, as described, that voice would turn me off. He sounded like a 100 year old man, not a sexy guy. I almost stopped reading the book because of his voice.
Believer in what you can't see
Yes, in fact I listen to this book on a library site and then liked the series so much that I bought it.
Jillie Organic farms and Colins falling in love with Jillies.
Everything to the audiobook. It is her voice that brings Virgin River characters to life.
A story that everyone can relate to and characters you can fall in love with.
I have all of Virgin River books and audiobooks, and can't wait for the next book comes out.
I really thought I had a winner UNTIL the "sexy" descriptions started that wanted to make me toss up my lunch, by the time the story turned the page to the "Native American" twist, so VERY clearly done in tunnel vision I turned my player off and will not finish it.
I have to wonder how it ever got published, sad. Very sad.
No, but I am not sure I will ever look at this author again.
Oh PLEASE - NO!
Think people! Writing should be done as people actually think and act in situations. If I want things to "heat up" in a love scene - I want it believable !
Just a good story
I really connected to the main character when she was planting the garden. I cried right along with her
I have listened to several Therese Plummer narrations and I really like the emotion she brings to the stories. I feel the joy, sadness or whatever right along with her.
This was a lovely read from the romance genre. I will definitely add Robyn Carr to the list of my favorite authors in the genre along with Lisa Kleypas and Nora Roberts.
This book is obviously aimed at women...especially women whose lives are lacking romance and satisfying sex.
The narration is probably good for a female audience.
I was disappointed in the predictable plot, the pornographic sex scenes, and the too-perfect leading characters. A woman who is turned on by the sex scenes in this book should not fault the man in her life who enjoys internet porn.
I was attracted to the book by the sample audio in which the female executive at a major high-tech firm was accused of sexual harrassment by her protege/lover. Everything that happened after the sample was just romantic fantasy.
