Audio book fan girl
The last scene with the tree was pretty cool.
The narrator does a great job with voicing the characters and keeping their voices constant throughout the story. He also doesn't overdo it. It's just right and fits the story type.
There's lots of stuff about guns. Lots. No, seriously....lots. I don't know anything about guns. But thankfully, I've learned the skill of 'skimming' audio books. I didn't mind because I like following the adventures of MHI.
I would recommend this book to a friend because of what a fantastic job Oliver Wyman does to get you sucked in. I would recommend, but you can't go into this book and take it 100% serious.
I wouldn't change anything, it's refreshing to me. I enjoy the way it's written, it paints a clear visual in your head and it's very easy to follow. On that note I rated it 4/5 because it's such a cheesy story, but it's still very enjoyable.
Oliver does a fantastic job of giving you a clear idea of what is going on. He seems patient and is very clear in delivering the story. I never felt like I needed to rewind because I felt like I missed anything. Oliver complimented the story telling very well.
There's not much it can inspire you to do I suppose haha.
This book is truly wonderful and refreshing. It's not a serious and dark audiobook, it's like a cheesy movie you can't help but sit back and enjoy. There is out there moments that make me wonder what the author was thinking. This kind of story that such high profile attacks like a horde of zombies attacking a crowded resort and yet... Still they're unheard of? I find it insane, but it's something that I have enjoyed listening to.

The monster hunter series is a fun story. I have enjoyed all of them. I highly recommend you download and enjoy this series. It does have a little language, but it doesn't get in the way. I listen to the series with my teens in the car with me, but I wouldn't do so if my young nieces were with me.
Excellent addition to the first book. Story line carries on nicely from the first one.
Several new monster types added and I can't say much more.
I found this book a lot more comical than the first.
I'm a voracious audiobook listener, rarely found without my iPod.
Picking up right where MHI #1 leaves off, this second book in the series is loaded with all kinds of monster fun. Again, Owen Pitt and his team of monster hunters are on the front line defending the whole world from a global extinction event. After MHI interfered with the Condition’s attempt to take over the Earth, Owen ends up on the bad side of the Overlord. There’s a bounty on his head and the book starts out fast and never lets up. We learn a little more about Franks, who ends up being one of the most interesting characters in the story. Silly and fun, the series reminds me of Disney’s The Incredibles.
Don't know why i am so irritated by this book, but i just cant stand the main character. It seems the author just loves to make his heroes the biggest, baddest people that like to yell and make smart ass remarks. While i really enjoyed the first book, the novelty has wore off and it seems that for lack of story we get just a series of insults and smart remarks trying to show how clever the characters can be. Don't think i will be finishing this series.
This second MHI book is awesome. It had me laughing out loud, and i don't laugh at just anything. This book continues with some bad ass monsters and demons trying to wipe out some of MHI's best. But it also will finally tell us where internet spam comes from, the secret lives of garden gnomes, and online trolls.
Awesome story,funny listen,get it.
Fifty something, small business owner, married, no children. Love travel, beaches, tropical isles, classic cars and listening!
I've enjoyed this second in the series as much as the first. Flows smoothly, fast paced and fun. Great narration, easy listen, and a break from my normal inclination towards epic fantasy. I'm looking forward to books 3 and 4!
I still can't get over the fact that this series hooked me like it did, I took a chance and was rewarded, you can too!

yes, it is a fun, well-written sci-fi, that is frequently hilarious.
He was a wonderful choice for the book. Clear voice and and nuances to characters.
I don't listen to any book in one sitting. My attention span isn't that long!
I would not recommend listening to this with children in ear-shot. There is not a lot of cursing, but enough that I wouldn't want families or neighbors to over hear.
Folks, for audiobooks it's not just about the writer, it's also about the narrator...
Monster Hunter Vendetta is the second book in the Monster Hunter Series and much like the first it's filled with monsters, guns, violence, bloodshed, more guns, creepy creatures, heroes, more guns, villains, weird supernatural phenomena...and did I mention guns? Seriously though, I am officially hooked on this series. Correia does a great job of taking the monster genre to a whole new level. Although the second book in the series is not as riveting as the first - it was still a good story and I'm looking forward to listening to the third installment.
What I'm most impressed with is the narrator, Oliver Wyman. I am his new fan. Mr. Wyman in my opinion is by far the best narrator in the audible stable. He has a wide-range of voices - I'm not sure I've heard him repeat one from another story yet - it's quite amazing. He does a great job of not only reading the story - but as a good narrator should - acting it out. (The guy must have had some thespian training along the way.)
Overall Vendetta is good - it gets bogged down in the middle but then picks back up - and of course I was kept interested along the way with Mr. Wyman's expert narration.
